Stampede Blue Insert anyone for Sorgi and it still makes sense

I remembered this from an old Fun With Peter King column on KSK. I know there was a bit of a feud awhile back, but it's still an amazingly funny site and I always remembered this bit.

There's a bit of swearing, but it's not funny if I censor it.

One of my friends used to work/intern for a sports show. One day, he was helping a reporter interview Colts OC Tom Moore. The Colts, of course, were set at QB with LaserRocketArm, so the reporter decided to question Moore about the backup, Jim Sorgi. One part of the interview went a little something like this.

Reporter – How many reps does Sorgi get with the first team offense during the week?

Moore – None.

Reporter – Why is that?

Moore – Because he doesn’t play with the first team during games.

Reporter – So you don’t want him to get any practice with the first team, in case Peyton goes down?

Moore – Well, if Peyton goes down, we are fucked.

Reporter – So why not give Sorgi some first team reps just in case he does?

Moore – Why would we practice being fucked?

I know the season is just starting and I've not given up any hope like I do for the Cubs every year in April, but it's a pretty apt description of how the Colts are built.

By the way, I emailed this to my mom, who is a huge Colts fan and possibly the nicest lady in the world and she loved it. She just sent me this (see, she still won't swear):

And…in the immortal words of Tom Moore, we’re f ***ed! :0 Love you too! mom

Go Horse! Um, Go Kerry Collins?

Stampede Blue Manning #1 Brady #2. So says America.

Sorry there's no link, but I saw it on the ticker this morning. ESPN's Sportsnation picked Manning #1 over Brady #2 on the all decade team. Marvin was in there at #5 too. I know it's not scientific or anything, but at least it's more representative of a larger group than 12 douches in a room in Bristol. I just find it funny that Manning wins these debates pretty much everywhere else. I guess ol' Boomer just couldn't push send fast enough to move Brady up in those rankings.

Stampede Blue Marvin and Freddy Out

Reggie is going to have to come up big again this week. But it's not like that is going to be too hard for him. Should also give Gonzalez a chance to get some more experience. Oh and there's still that Dallas Clark guy. He's okay too. Hopefully Feddy comes back soon. He's a playmaker.
