I Hate Doop.
Ever since the Flyers changed the goal song last year in the playoffs, I've really had a hard time warming up to "Doop." I still don't like it, and as I was watching a couple games on GCL tonight, I think I finally figured out why.

Divisional Strength: Simple Statistics
I was reading through the weekend of posts on Puck Daddy, and as I am sure almost everybody knows, the big story is the Capital's losing streak and the end of the streak. In the "What we learned" Column, there was the usual rip on the weak SE Division, but according to several statistic categories, the SE Division is actually the strongest in the East to this point in the season. After the Jump, the details.
Not sure if this has been mentioned...
Watching LA Kings Vs. Calgary, noticed John Stevens is an Asst. Coach for the Kings. Good for him.
I wasn't a fan of him as a head coach, but I do believe he is an asset to a coaching staff. At any rate, I'm glad he's doing something he is good at where we don't have to hear him (I am a robotic Versus analyst on hockey central. My name is John Stevens).
Goaltending options
I know that with Boucher and Leighton signed, along with looking at the personnel we had last year in the net, we can get a pretty good idea about how much management is willing to pay for the position. That in mind, I felt it would be useful to look at some stats and other information to get an idea of who the best duo for the flyers could be this year assuming that moves could be made, but would be reasonable moves.
Analyzing Statistics: How the Flyers are winning games. (upd-1/13/10)
Now that the Flyers are starting to get hot again, I thought it might be interesting to look more deeply into their record under certain circumstances. I took four different scenarios and looked at performance in each to determine the important things the Flyers need to do to continue to win games statistically.
I am Keanu Stevens. I mean, John Stevens...
Think about this.
The Flyers will still be a playoff team.
