Chili Davis--the cocktail?!
Went to one of my favorite SF restaurants last night and who do I see at the bottom of the cocktail menu? Our old friend Chili Davis (a delicious blend of arette tequila, sweet vermouth, mandarin napoleon, cayenne pepper, and lime).

ESPN analyst Phillips in 'Fatal Attraction' scandal
TV baseball analyst Steve Phillips had a brief affair with an ESPN production assistant who taunted his wife with "Fatal Attraction"-like phone calls and a letter that bragged about her sexual encounters with Phillips after being dumped, The New York Post reported.
The former New York Mets general manager told his wife and police he slept with Brooke Hundley, 22, multiple times this summer before dumping her.
The woman repeatedly phoned Phillips' wife, Marni, saying, "We both can't have him!" the police report says.

Really? This over Steve Phillips?!

Now it's Derrek Lee
Keep an eye on the Giants. They're a long shot to catch the Dodgers in the NL West but could have staying power in the wild-card race, especially if GM Brian Sabean gets them a hitter. Matt Cain, who lives in the shadow of pitching teammates Tim Lincecum, Barry Zito and Randy Johnson, is having a great season (8-1, 2.55). His 3.61 career ERA suggests he could pitch his way into Cy Young consideration. ... Could Derrek Lee be the hitter the Giants need? Sabean at least ought to kick the tires to see if Jim Hendry would consider approaching Lee about waiving his no-trade clause, as the Cubs have first-base options available to them in Micah Hoffpauir and Jake Fox.
