The Rams won a close game up in Laramie to keep the NCAA dreams alive. It was a low scoring rough and tumble game that the Border War has come to be known by.

Rams Take Lobos to the Wire at The Pit, Fall 68-61
Former walkon Adam Nigon was a Reggie Miller put on a Reggie Miller in the Garden-esqe performance by hitting 7 of 10 three pointers as the Rams won their first conference game 73-60. The Cowboys had the lead at half, 39-37. The Pokes were up by 13 in the first half, which marks the 4th game in a row where the Rams were coming back from a double digit lead in the first half. If they try that against the top teams in the MWC it could be a disappointing season. Check out CowboyAltitude.com for some Wyoming insight.
The Rams lost on a buzzer beating 3 pointer with less then a second on the clock, 77-75. The Rams had put them selves in a 17 point hole early and couldn't muster a full comeback. Looks like turnovers did the Rams in as they turned the ball over 18 times to Hampton's 9 turnovers. The Rams cannot seem to get over the hump and start beating teams that could put them into the tournament. They start league play with a 10-4 record but no great wins.
The Rams are on the road at USF Dons, the game is about half time. It is the Rams last contest before league play starts. It could be the worst web feed of all time though, looks like someone is recording it with a videodisc. Since I started watching the Rams have gone on a 13-3 run so that is a plus. Note- I needed to run it in IE for it to work.
The CSU Rams have shot from 4-3 to 8-3 over the last 5 days and got a huge momentum boost from winning the Cancun Governer's Cup. They beat two teams in Ole Miss and Southern Miss where the odds makers had made the Rams underdogs. They were down by 11 to Southern Miss at one point yesterday in the championship game. The Rams might be starting to peak at the right time going into MWC play. One more thing that makes the Rams dangerous is the Hack-a-Franklin strategy doesn't work anymore. Travis Franklin has gone from a 54% free throw shooter to 78% at the stripe.
Rams Look For Cancun Governor's Cup Gold Tonight!
The Rams head to Boulder to face off in the Rocky Mountain Showdown tonight at 8MST. It might be on your television depending on where you live so look for it. Should be a good match up as rivalry games usually are.
The Rams beat Fresno State 87-74 at home. The Rams head to Boulder on Wednesday to renew the rivalry in the Rocky Mountain Showdown. The Rams won that game last year in Fort Collins 77-62.
CSU Gets Back to Winning Ways Against Drake and An Early Season Critique
The Rams fell to last years Southland Champions Sam Houston State 92 - 81. The Rams were undone by a poor start to the second half and SHS Bearkats going crazy from three point land. The Rams were an ugly 23% from downtown and an uglier 41% from the free throw line. The shots where you stand just 15 feet away and everyone gets out of the way, they hit just 7 of 17.
Battle for the Bronze Boot in the Border War
The Rams ended the Denver Pioneers 15 game home win streak last night. The thing that popped out to me the most from last year was the Rams depth and the maturity of a few players. Pierce Horung looks a lot more aggressive. Dorian Green didn't seem like he took a big step this year. Wes Eikmeier might be better then advertised. But as this game went the CSU season will go, this team will ride the backs of Andy Ogide and Travis Franklin.
The Colorado State Rams beat 2010 NCAA participant Arkansas Pine-Bluff 82-51 in dominating fashion at home. Andy Ogide had 19 pints and 8 rebounds to lead the Rams in both categories. Transfer student Will Bell had 14 points inf 14 minutes in his CSU debut.
