Orlando Pinstriped Post Rony Seikaly will DJ your party (The respect cont...)

This is the greatest thing I've ever seen (well, at least this off-season anyway). I'm wondering whether he'd like to come back over to Europe for a little extra? I have some savings I'd happily plunder for this.

Have a former Magic DJ my party?! I'd be a legend in my own lifetime!

Orlando Pinstriped Post Something Positive To Look At Today

trick  CH-Ewing has signed an extension to remain as an assistant in Orlando. Apparently he signed it a while back too.

Hopefully he can continue his great work with Dwight and the other bigs this off-season. He's done brilliantly so far and is a great presence within the club.

I'm sure Stan is glad he's going to be sticking around too. They seem to make a good team.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Favourite pictures from the playoffs so far

There have been some awesome Magic images from the playoffs so far, and I don't doubt that we'll have a hell of a lot more to come in this LA series. My favourite of theM all is definitely this one:

4f167ac5ef_medium

It really encapsulates what the winning of the conference finals meant to the team as a whole, and, evidently, Dwight Howard. AJ hugging him really brings it home since those two have generated quite the bond since No-Neck's arrival.

To commemorate the playoffs so far, and to also show some of my other favourite Magic images we've seen this post-season, I've whipped up a simple but, I feel, effective desktop wallpaper showcase of the aforementioned pictures. I'll link to it since it 1280x800. Enjoy. >>CLICK HERE<<

Orlando Pinstriped Post Happy travels for Cleveland

Let's just say they should have a timely reminder of what happened last time they rolled into the Amway. And here it is!:

LeBron should get ready for this feeling again as I see Orlando taking infinitely more positives from this opening two-game stand than I do Cleveland. It's nice to have the shoe on the other foot with other teams struggling to kill us off and blow a huge lead and have to rely on last-second heroics.

All I have to say is that I hope you Orlando residents have your lungs in top form. We have to be the 6th man on the court for these two games and put the Craboliers in a hole not even LeBron can dig them out of.

One other thing: I've never really noticed but do you have chants at NBA games like we do over here in Europe at football (soccer, yanks) matches? Not just stuff like "Let's Go Magic" and "Defense" but actual songs about the players, coach, rivals etc.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Nene is creeeeeepy

Someone captured this from the Denver-LA game last night. Check out Nene on the right hand side of the frame!

LMAO! I'm seriously giggling like a schoolgirl at this right now.

Also, anything that involves the anguish of the evil empire AKA LA Lakers is fine by me. It's also great that it's Pau-derpuff Gasol.

Anyone else love random little happenings like this in games? Neneface may just be the polar opposite of Duncanface.

Orlando Pinstriped Post So does Rondo have to actually kill a man to get suspended?

SI.com

Rondo actually gets into a full-on altercation with Kirk Hinrich and shoves him into the scorer's table, only a few days after clubbing Brad Miller in the face from behind, and still has no suspension, yet Dwight elbows Dalembert, not exactly forcefully either, and gets to sit at home for a crucial game?

Way to show consistency, guys! This really is getting stupid now. Maybe if Rondo were to grab a folding chair and hit someone, the full transformation into the WWE would be complete.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Boston go down to Bulls at home in OT

Bit of a shock there. I thought Chi-town had the potential to peg back a few games at the United Centre and push the C's to 6 or 7 games, but I never saw them taking the first game in Boston at all.

Rose went off for 36 points and 11 assists in his first ever playoff game, Rondo replied with 29 points, 7 assists, 9 rebounds. Boston's bench only chipped in with a woeful 15 points between 5 players, including some big ol' goose-eggs for Tony Allen and Stephon Marbury. Ray Allen went 1-for-12 from the field for four points in 39 minutes!

Garnett sat with the bench for the first half, cheerleading and motivating, then didn't emerge from the locker room for the second half at all.

So, who else is pleased this series is going our way?

Orlando Pinstriped Post Dime: "The trade that will bring Orlando a championship"?

>>Dime Mag<<

The long and the short of it is as follows:

Orlando gets

Vince Carter + Sean Williams

New Jersey gets

Hedo Turkoglu + Tony Battie + JJ Redick

And apparently, Portland don't use Travis Outlaw as a crunch-time shooter.

If you're not a regular reader of Dime, Austin Burton is largely clueless but seems to have maneuvered his way into a position to use the Dime Magazine site as a mouthpiece for ill-informed views and outlandish predictions, then backtracks after they go wrong.

But this one is quite funny, to me at least.

Do you agree? Do you see another trade elsewhere that helps us as a team?

Orlando Pinstriped Post Former Magic coach Chuck Daly has cancer

Chuck Daly has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment for the disease, according to Don Shane of WXYZ.

The cancer has also spread to his liver. After experiencing stomach pain in January, Daly, 78, visited doctors in Florida. Tests from that visit revealed the cancer.

From WXYZ.com

Wow, this sucks. I always thought he done a decent enough job here in O-Town with a regular season record of 74-58 over two years. I hope he pulls through but pancreatic and liver cancer is tough.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Throwing a name out there for PG

Will Conroy.

The guy is killing it in the D-League. I know, I know, your grandmother could kill it in the D-League. But he's averaging 25.8 PPG, 4.5 RPG and 7.8 APG this season.

If he even produces a quarter of the points, half the assists and whatever rebounds, he'll be welcome to the backup PG spot, in my eyes. As far as I'm aware, he's not attached to any NBA team.

What do people think? An inexpensive, low-risk, high-reward move.
