spurs lost again tonight, that would be 4 losses in a row and 6 losses in the last 7 games. beginning of the end?

the way spurs lost tonight must be frastrating to their fans: had a 20 points lead in 1st half, lost it and got behind by 4 in the 3rd q, got ahead by 8 with 5 minutes to go, and still lost at the end. c-h-o-k-e?

key play of the game: with celtic up by 2 with 20 seconds left, kg misses a wide open jumper, and none other than rajon rondo somehow got the rebound from between bowen and ginobili, got fouled, hit two clutch ft, and sealed the deal. the same rondo whose offense rebound also beat mavs. celtic's big 4, instead of big 3?

speaking of spurs' recent loss: in their loss to pistons, spurs attempted a total of 6 fts. 3 each for tony parker and duncan. each made 2. ginobili played 35 minutes without getting to the line once. old? lazy?

btw, people pointed out that rockets' stat improved after yao got hurt, and argue that yao does not exactly help rockets. my take: this just showed the coach does not know how to utilize yao's tremendous and unique talents. anytime houston wants to get rid of yao, let's do whatever necessary to get him.

from http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/110458:

"Atlanta Journal-Constitution writer Sekou Smith reports in his blog that Tyronn Lue told him he's headed to Dallas to play behind Jason Kidd and won't be joining the Suns, despite taking recruitment phone calls from friends such as Shaquille O'Neal and Grant Hill."

our backup pg solution?

how the heck did avery decide to sit kidd during the last minute?

this just defies all kind of logic that is remotely reasonable. it goes beyond stupid, it is ridiculous.

i beg for a simple explanation: did kidd hurt himself during the timeout? did he say/do something dispicable during that timeout?

or did avery have a mind fart? or he just let his ego/stubbornness get in the way of the team winning?

just heard avery on the radio that he wanted to "spread out the floor", provide "more spacing" for dirk, so he "put all shooters on the floor" in this particular situation.

WOW. how did avery even come up with a logic like that??????

can't help posting this:

from peter vecsey: "According to an infallible source, the Mavericks' coach pressed team owner Mark Cuban to deal Dirk after the NBA's MVP came up shamefully small against the Warriors in last season's upsetting first-round elimination, but was overruled"

hmm... "infallible source". how does he even come up with a term like that?
