Ducks, Cal: Troubling Ties To ‘Mentor’ Of Recruits
Another Street Agent with severe ties to Oregon.Dating back to 2003.

Lache Seastrunk To Transfer From Oregon To Baylor
Interesting...things must be boiling in Eugege.
In two weeks it's starts again for the Huskies road back to National Prominence. A thanks to Coach Sarkisian.
Huskies Honoring the 1991 National Championship Team in Game Against Oregon!!!

UW is making plans to honor the 1991 National Championship Football Team when it plays Oregon on Nov. 5. That will be last game in Husky Stadium before the stadium will be renovated.
The Old Lady has seen the Huskies win 15 Pacific-10 Conference Championships, 7 Rose BowlTitles, and 4 National Championships. The Huskies have two of the nation's longest winning streaks including an NCAA second-best of 39 wins in a row, holds the Division I-A unbeaten record at 63 consecutive games, and has had a total of twelve unbeaten seasons including seven perfect seasons.
The crowd will be electric and the Old Lady will be a swinging and swaying. Do you think Woodard is trying to rub it in??? Without a doubt.
UTAH to join the PAC 10???
Welcome to the PAC 10.
I wrote this article last August. I was right on. Look for the realignment to be a Pacific Division and Mountain Division with a Conference Championship game.
By expanding to twelve teams, the league would split into two divisions. However, but don't look for simply North/South alignments. Ideally, splitting the rivals up in order to avoid isolating the Northwest from California. Here is a proposal of how it could look:
Mountain Division: USC, Stanford, Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington State, Utah
Pacific Division: UCLA, California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Colorado
Each school would play their division plus two from the other division, as well as their their natural geographic rival. This allows all schools a balanced, eight game conference schedule plus non-conference opponents each year.
The feeling at Washington is Colorado is actually a great fit. The question is whether the Buffs want to make a move. Utah on the other hand would make the jump in a New York minute…for the Ute’s it is a big step up. Would love to have UTAH in the PAC 10. Joing the PAC10 would bring in a huge amount of money for UTAH plus being on TV every week.
State of Washington In State Football Recruits (Class of 2011) * UPDATED
No such thing as an off-season for the the University of Washington Football Coaches. Recruiting has become a major focus at Washington and has become a year around ordeal. All of the potential recruits listed here are Juniors in High School. The Senior Year of High School for these recruits don't start until next September. The Class of 2011 might not be loaded as in other years, but there is some definite quality here. Head Coach Steve Sarkisian knows the impact of getting the best football players of the State of Washington to stay home and play at Washington to have a successful program.

The Career of Running Back Brandon Yakaboski is Over
Head Coach Steve Sarkisian said that the career of running back Brandon Yakaboski is over as he has been unable to recover from a knee injury suffered initially in the 2008 season. A graduate of Mount Si High, Yakaboski played in two games in 2008, scoring a touchdown on a 38-yard pass against Oklahoma and also rushing six times for 15 yards against the Sooners. Sarkisian said he will stay in school on a medical scholarship.
Good Luck to you, Brandon.

UW to "Announce a Significant Husky Football Event" Monday
Press conference at noon, streamed live on gohuskies.com
Among the speakers will be:
Scott Woodward, Director of Athletics
Steve Sarkisian, Head Football Coach
Dave Brown, Vice President of Programming at ESPN
Dave Brown, vice president, programming and acquisitions in the ESPN programming department, is responsible for the acquisition, scheduling and day-to-day management of the entire college football schedule for ESPN on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360. In addition, Brown oversees the company’s NCAA championships programming (such as Women’s NCAA Basketball Championship, College World Series and Women’s College World Series).
Chris Fetters of Scout.com says, I don't have any inside info to work with here, but when I see the word 'significant' and know that a highly-placed rep from ESPN will be at the press conference, Game Day is the only logical conclusion I'd come to. That's the only thing 'significant' about CF on ESPN, in my opinion.
A Thursday night game would not be a 'significant' announcement.

Damon Huard returns to UW as a major gifts officer for Tyee Club
This will help solidify the fund-raising arm for the University of Washington's Tyee Club. I see the official formation of a Capital Building Fund Raising Program for the "Husky Stadium Renovation and Training Facility" .
The Tyee Club is the primary fund-raising arm of Husky Athletics and privately funds scholarships for over 650 student-athletes annually. The Tyee's Club top priority is to renovate Husky Stadium so that it is safe and accessible for the enjoyment of all Husky fans.
UW AD Scott Woodwardsaid on KJR (June 24, 2009) that one difference this time is that the Huskies will have a definite "Plan B'' of where to go with the stadium renovation should the public money not come in, essentially hinting that this will be the last effort at getting public money. Asked what the Plan B is he said it would be a number of things (and it's likely also not set in stone yet, either).
With the hiring of Damon Huard as a major gifts officer for the Tyee Club, it looks like one of the parts of "Plan B" might be.
In an interview with Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Damon Huard said, "We can't let the Ducks have the best facilities in the Pac-10.''
Damon Huard Returns To Washington

Husky Stadium Renovation and Training Facility (Timeline of Events)
Design Summary
- 72,300 Seats
- Replaces 40,000 Seats
- 2,000 South Club seats
- 575 Don James Seats
- Lowered field 6'6"
- New football training facility
- Upper deck seating and East bleachers remain as is
UW will have to figure out what it does next to fund the renovation --- it needs $250-$270 million or so.
UW AD Scott Woodward has said that if the bill failed again, the school would go to its Plan B. He hasn't said exactly what that is and won't until this is all done. But it's probably what you would expect --- trying to hit up the big-time donors, selling naming rights in some fashion, etc.
Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times has talked to Scott Woodward. He said he wants to hold off on any public comment about the stadium until after the Legislative session is officially over, and until the Husky Stadium Advisory Committee then meets to decide where to go next. That committee meeting probably won’t happen until May or so. That isn’t to imply there has been no talk yet of what to do next. There’s been plenty of it. But once they know exactly what is in front of them, they’ll make some more firm decisions. But I’m not sure there’s any real magic to what Plan B is going to be. I think it’ll be the obvious - major fund-raising campaign, maybe some kind of seat license, naming rights, etc. As Woodward has previously stated, one of the other aspects of this they are working on right now is bringing the cost down. While the project was initially pegged at $300 million, they are hoping they can bring it down to $250 million or so, in large part due to decreasing costs of materials and labor due to the recent economic downturn.

The stadium is in desperate need of renovation. Cement steps and walkways in the lower bowl are crumbling and lower bowl wood bleachers are disintegrating. If your at any practices you can see the destruction of time going on at Husky Stadium.

USC Team Doctors Writing (illegal ?) Pain Killer Prescriptions for Players and Coaches?
Dave Watson, former player in the 1990's for USC and former coach for Pete Carroll at USC admitted in court that he had developed a significant addiction to painkillers since his college playing career in the 1990s and as a coach.
Watson gave the names of 12 doctors associated with the university, six of whom were team doctors for USC football. Watson had already provided the court extensive documentation of these prescriptions, including dates, drug names and pill amounts.
Dave Watson while still coaching at USC was in court for a DUI crash in a USC-provided Jeep. The police after a search of his vehicle found four bottles of prescription pills, including one written for 90 tablets of a Vicodin-like painkiller called Norco that had been filled that morning. Except now there were only 83 pills left. Watson would later admit having taken three Soma pills (a prescription muscle relaxer) prior to the crash.
Eight months after the accident, following which Watson was charged with DUI and pleaded no contest in exchange for three years' probation.
Watson was fired by USC coach Pete Carroll. The reason cited by Carroll: Watson was too hard on his players.
Dave Watson filed a civil suit against USC for wrongful termination. Indicating that he didn't accept the explanation Carroll had given him as the truth.
It would seem Carroll knew about his addiction and nonetheless continued to allow Dave Watson to use the USC-provided Jeep .

2009 Husky Football Christmas Present "Miracle by the Lake"
Arizona Wildcats Vs Washington Huskies 10-10-09
Exciting 4th quarter highlights of the Huskies come from behind win over Arizona.
AWSEOME...AWESOME...AWESOME
The Washington Huskies scored 15 points in the last 3 minutes of the game with the Arizona Wildcats in which was a "Miracle by the Lake."
The Huskies took the lead on Mason Foster's big interception which bounced off an Arizona player's foot and was returned it for a 37 yard touchdown with 2:37 remaining in the fourth quarter to lift the Washington Huskies to a 36-33 victory in a thrilling Pac-10 Conference affair.
"Before the play, I told Donald Butler let's do something crazy," Mason Foster said. "I felt like throughout the game I had missed opportunities," stated Foster. Foster led the Huskies on defense with a game high 11 tackles.
It Is Official, Locker Not Going Pro, Staying at Washington!!!
John B I will let you write this one. It is being reported by the University of Washington and KJR radio in Seattle. This a great day for the University of Washington. Gives credibilty to Steve Sarkisian and his Staff. This help's with the recruiting and the remodel of the stadium. This is totally awesome. This helps cements Jake Locker's legacy. Locker make's a great statement for the Washington Huskies. Thanks for the Christmas present Jake.
Kevin Smith, 6"1" , 200 lb, S/WR, 4 Star Athlete, Commits to the UW
Kevin Smith, 6"1" , 200 lb, S/WR, is from Centennial High School in Compton California. He has a ranking of 4 Stars by Dawgman, com.
This is another great get for Head Football Coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff at the University of Washington. Kevin Smith was at the University of Washington game against Washington State on Novemeber 28, in Seattle for his official visit. The Huskies won that game by routing the Cougars 30-0.
Smith informed the UW coaching staff this morning that he was accepting there offer to come and play at Washington. Kevin Smith is the 25th recruit for the current Huskies 2010 class.
Kevin Smith chose Washington over offers from Colorado, Arizona and UCLA and was getting interest from programs like Oregon, Oregon State and California as well.
Smith had told Dawgman.com the at he really loved the University of Washington and the Seatte area on his visit.
Smith is another recruit for the Huskies in a recuritng coup for Washington that is taking place in California.
A little bit more info Smith; he has a basketball background, so he is considered a cross-over athlete. He is a very explosive, aggresive tackler and has great closing speed on defense. On offense he has great hands and is considered a threat to score when he catches the ball.

Oregon game set for 12:30 pm on ABC
Posted by Bob Condotta,
UW officials were informed today that the Oct. 24 game against Oregon has been selected by ABC for a regional telecast and will kickoff at 12:30 p.m.
Wins by both the Ducks and the Huskies over the weekend made the game more attractive for that time slot.
Here's more from GoHuskies.com.
TV selections are made on Mondays either six or 12 days prior to kickoff so all games that don't have times yet will be selected in that manner in future weeks.
The perks of winning football games.
It is called "The Drive"
The "DRIVE" was absolutely amazing.
The "DRIVE" was one of the Greatest Football moments ever played in Husky Stadium.
The "DRIVE" engineered by Jake Locker on Saturday afternoon is in which hero's and football legends are made of.
The "DRIVE" was four minutes to glory that puts Jake Locker in the company of all the great Washington quarterbacks, Bob Scholedt, Sonny Sixkiller, Warren Moon, Mark Brunell, Billy Joe Hobert to Marcus Tuiasosopo.
The "DRIVE" tells me that Jake Locker is one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, not could be.
The "DRIVE" that made the Husky Football program relevant again to it's fan base.

REMEMBER "THE DRIVE"
Jake Locker has led the University of Washington Football team out of the darkness into the light. It is a new day and a new beginning for the University of Washington Football Team. The shackles have come off. Get used to it Husky Fan's, this is merely the beginning. Head Coach Steve Sarkisian and Jake Locker have sent a statement to the rest of the PAC 10. THE HUSKIES ARE BACK...BEWARE!!!
What Is It with Washington Husky Football Fans: Apathy or Recession?
The Washington Huskies have a very good football team; it is well-coached by Steve Sarkisian and his staff. Assistants who have coached at a higher level.
In three home games to date, with two games against Top 10 ranked teams, there have been no sellouts.
Is it too many fans staying at home, fans having a pity party, and/or displaying apathy over the Huskies, or is it the recession that has hit Husky Nation? You know what, if it is a pity party or apathy?: Get over it!
I am not talking about jumping on the Husky bandwagon. I am talking about coming back to the good ol' lady and having fun again and making Husky Stadium one of the most feared and loudest venues in college football. Husky Stadium in Seattle was once considered just that before the Huskies' performance slipped in the mid-2000s.
The memorable games and players that made their mark on Husky Stadium—from George Wilson to Hugh McElhenny to Steve Emtman to Marques Tuiasosopo—have left behind a loud legacy. During televised games, it has been known to become so loud that the cameras shake. During the 1992 night game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, ESPN measured the noise level at 135 decibels.
Husky football teams use to play with a passion, and fans used to come Husky Stadium with a passion. Coach Steve Sarkisian's Husky football team is playing with a passion, but Husky fans are staying at home, and their passion is complaining like a 13-year-old.
Husky Stadium is one of the best game-day experiences in all sports. No excuses here. Husky fans, it's time to "put up or shut up" and sell out Husky Stadium.
The Tyee member Eddie Gibson says, "Every time I walk or drive by Husky Stadium, I have to look, stop and then go inside...I just have to."
The Article was changed a little bit and published in the B/R
NO Excuse for UW vs Stanford Game not being on TV
I have already written Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott. His email is: lscott@pac-10.org if you feel so inclined. This is completely asinine. There is no excuse for any UW game not airing locally. It is no wonder the rest of the country thinks the PAC-10 is a lesser conference. In age where Universities are cutting buget backs...they are turning away an opportunity to make money. This has nothing to do with a 6:00 pm start time, because all conference schools know that there is a 6-12 day window for FSN TV broadcasts. Something else going on down at Stanford, turning down money... BS![]()
"The Tunnel is Hallowed and Sacred Ground"
Quinton Richardson..."Guarantees Win against USC"
Quinton Richardson CB 6'0" 203lb CB for the University of Washington Huskies Footbal Team has spoken out and GUARANTEES a Huskies Footbal Win over USC. I love the optimism, but we do not need to give a visiting team fodder for there bulletin boards. We should be doing the talking on the field not in the press. Show the progress by playing a great game. I love it, it will make interesting come Saturday. Woof...Woof...Woof... GO DAWGS!!!
CB David Batts Dropped from Husky Football Team
As per Head Coach Steve Sarkisian durning his Monday Noon Press Conference, # 25 Sophmore JC Transfer David Batts 6'1" 200 lb CB from Compton, CA/ El Camino College has been dropped from the University of Washington Husky Football Team for violations of team rules. Coach Steve Sarkisian would not expound on the dropping of David Batts from the Husky Football Team during his Noon press conference. From all indications it sounds like it's Coach Steve Sarkisain way or the highway. Sarkisian has given into the thought of giving players a second chance, but the violations of team rules by David Batts must have been major and severe to be dropped from the Husky Football Team.
"Last year, we had the talent, we just didn’t have coaches to showcase it. Now, we have coaches that actually do that,"...Chris Polk
Chris Polk also stated, “I think we showcased it (Saturday) that we actually have players. We’re real deep. We will be good for years to come.” As you could see on Saturday, The Defense was running to the ball and running thru thew tackles, the D was team tackling. This is taught from Coaches. It doesn't matter how good your talent is... if your not being taught the skills of football, you will not succeed. Players now... practice with a purpose, fundamentals of tackling and running to the ball are being taught & shown by Nick Holt and his Defensive Staff. Coaches were coaching on the run and made adjustment when needed on Saturday night. The offense was stunning as the new blocking schemes and the Pro Style Offense showcased players talent was a success. There is Discilpine, Character, Enthusaism and Intensity that has been brought forward by Coach Steve Sarkisian and his Coaches. As we observed last year...all Tyronne Willingham did was throw out the ball and made excuses it was all the players fault they did not win. TY made the claim it takes 5 years to rebuild a program, threw his players under the Bus and alientated the Husky Community. Remember all that Crap and Chaos perpurtrated by TW??? Don't forget where we once were. WOW...what a year makes. CRUSH IDAHO...make them pay. WOOF!!! WOOF!!! WOOF!!!
GO DAWGS!!!

Sarkisian..."EXPECT US TO WIN !!!"
From the first day Coach Steve Sarkisian stepped into his first press conference, Sark has preached to the athletes "EXPECT TO WIN". The slogan is posted in the locker room, team meetings, websites and anything the football team does on campus. Sark has shown us the Attitude, Committment, Dedication, Discipline, Enthusiasm, Intensity and his coaching abilty in practices. Sark has placed the Washington Huskies in the Top 20 in the nation in recruiting. Practices are organized and no non sense. Players are coached on the spot and repeated miscues are not tolerated. Athletes that perform will be the starters. Sark has brought in coaches that have coached at a higher level. Coaches who have won Conference Championships, Bowl Games and National Championships. Coach Steve Sarkisian has brought Husky Nation together after being divided by Tyrone Willingham. Practices are now open to the public, media, alumni, former athletes and coaches. Excitement now reigns at Montlake. The Huskies may be only 4 an 8 or 5 and 7, but one thing for sure, the Huskies are definitely back. The only thing now that is needed at the UW, is for the Fans to showup enmass and make a statement come next Saturday Night against LSU. WOOF!!!, WOOF!!! , WOOF!!!. Say Who, Say What, Say Dawgs are Bad Mo**** F******s GO DAWGS !!!
What is a realistic Won Loss record for the Washington Huskies???
Fall Camp is over, practices are now closed, the media has given us informatiion on how the Huskies look and possibly how good they are. The Huskies are now in game week and game day mode. Alot has changed with the Husky Football program since Coach Steve Sarkisian has taken over. Has taken recruiting to new heights, Washington is now on about every 3 and 4 star recruits interest list. Discipline, enthusiasm and intenisity now reign at Montlake. GO DAWGS. Sound off and give your Vote.
Keith Price, Talia Crichton & Tim Tucker tackled by NCAA Clearinghouse
Keith Price, Talia Crichton and Tim Tucker did not participate Monday as their transcripts were being reviewed by the NCAA Clearinghouse. Sarkisian said, "The NCAA this time of year gets backed up, and we had three kids that weren't allowed to practice," Sarkisian was hopefull that by the time he gets back to his office that the matter will be cleared up. He said it was not a matter of being denied or accepted, but the NCAA Clearinghouse had not reviewed the player's transcripts as of yet. WOW...I hope we do not have aproblem here.
Erik Kohler Makes Committment to the HUSKIES
It is official, Erik Kohler is coming to the Washington Huskies to play football. This is huge get for the UW. The dominoes are starting to fall. When yout start to get 4 and 5 Star linemen the rest will follow. Along with giving UW some much-needed heft for the Class of 2010, getting Kohler also adds more evidence that Coach Steve Sarkisian will be able to win some recruiting battles in California. I forsee a Top 10 recruiting class for Head Coach Steve Sarkisian and the Washington Huskies.
Erik Kohler liked being Nick Montana's left tackle at Oaks Christian, he has decided four more years of the same is in his future. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Kohler verbally committed to Washington Monday night over Notre Dame, ensuring the Kohler-Montana connection will continue at another school.
