I grew up in Connecticut, and, somehow, began following the Lakers and Dodgers in the early 70's. It was tough getting scores in those days. We got a morning paper and they still wouldn't have the scores from the previous day's west coast games. I'd have to wait for the next day! Sheesh. It has been a long, and sometimes very enjoyable ride anyway.
I absolutely love both teams. I moved to SoCal in 1998 and it has been great to finally be able to see my teams in person. Of course, growing up in Connecticut, I have an even stronger hatred of everything Boston than most of you SoCal natives. I just can't tell you how strong it is. I don't even like driving in the city of Boston. It's a rat's nest of winding one-way streets. I half expect to come to a 3-way intersection and have the one way signs all point to the intersection! THAT'S how messed up Boston is. Is it any wonder the Celtics always look angry? Wouldn't you be?
