Terry Glenn will be Waived

I was Just following the minute by minute updates from day 1 of TC, and apparently this is the scoop:

(Per DMN blog)

6:00 -- Jerry announced that the Cowboys will waive Terry Glenn. They are not closing the door on the possibility that he will rejoin the team down the road, but they don't want to risk him reinjuring the knee while rehabbing on their dime. Glenn will also be free to sign with another team. Much more to come on this.

Sad to see him go but hopefully this signals the coming of a new WR corps!!  We'll miss you Terry!

McNabb already giving Bulletin Board Material?

McNabb StoryIs this going to agitate you guys as much as it did me?

"A lot of people have picked us to win the NFC, and rightfully so," said McNabb, suggesting all business in a plain white T-shirt and ball cap. "It's not that hard to see the type of team we have. You don't win NFC championships or the NFC on paper. You put it out on the field. Our team hasn't changed that much where we can't win the NFC again."

<!-- PULL-QUOTE (BEGIN) -->

With a straightforward matter-of-factness, McNabb insisted that the start of this season will be different from 2007, when he was coming back from knee surgery. There will be no excuses, he said, and the results will be different. In fact, he almost sounded as though he was calling out his teammates -- and putting division rivals on notice that the NFC East title will go through Philadelphia again.

"We beat the Cowboys last year, and we should have beaten them in the first game," said McNabb, apparently not afraid to provide a little bulletin board material for the folks training in Oxnard, Calif. "The Redskins, we should have beaten them the first time. The Giants, we should have beaten them both times. It's not just teams in our division; it's the NFC, period. I feel like we can compete with all of them. If you ask those teams, they'll tell you the same, that we have the type of team you have to look out for.

You would think with this guy's history he would know enough to keep his mouth shut until he gets through at least 7 games without coming up lame.  I kind of feel sorry for him.  Here is the link to said story:

Jason Taylor in NFC East?!?!  (UGH)

Per ESPN: Jason Taylor Traded to Foreskins

This is not my idea of fun.  I have a lot of respect for Jason Taylor, and now we have to face the guy 2 times a year minimum?  I don't like this, not one bit!  I believe he still has a few more solid years, possibly more than our boy Zach Thomas.  This should be an interesting situation for the next few years.  Earn that money O-line!

Madden 09 Rankings out!

I'm pretty stoked guys - madden '09 Team rankings are out!

Cowboys got 2nd highest at 96 overall

link: Madden '09 Ranks

Quick Hits:

Romo - 94

Barber - 93

DWare - 98 !! (finally higher than cheating @$$ Merriboy)

O-line - 93.x Average!

Roy Williams - 88

This can't come soon enough.  I was really getting sick and tired of being rated a little bit lower than our talent base reflected.  I truly think the madden team finally got it right with this one.

By the way - this is my first post on this new format.  I really like the site Grizz.
