Bucs Dugout Tike Redman Lives (and some other rambling)!


I went to the Nashville Sounds (Milwaukee affiliate) vs. Round Rock Express (Houston) tonight and was surprised to see Tike Redman in the lineup for the Sounds.  He actually contributed a run in a riveting 5-4 game at the Dell Diamond.

Anyway, the other interesting thing about the game (if any part of it really was) was that not only Tike was in the lineup, but also Corey Patterson (Sounds) and Armando Benitez (Express).  It got me to wondering, if everyone's going to overvalue their prospects (or merely value their cheapness greatly), does it mean that there'll be triple-A washouts and MLB failures around that might be just as likely to contribute at the major league level as the much more valued prospects (not they type of realy over the hill guys I mentioned above, but somewhere around the crest of the hill type guys)?

Bucs Dugout 82nd loss



As much as the Pirates fought the good fight (especially early this year), it seems that losing season #17 is on its way.  While I doubt the Pirates organization will rush to put 17 on the outfield wall, it is a historic feat.  Is anyone else planning/tempted to go to the game or do something different for the 82nd loss?

Bucs Dugout Pirates Attendance Numbers

One of the most heated topics that seems to recur is whether the Pirates should sign a couple free agents to make the team competitive.  What I'm wondering is who's going to go see the team if they don't.  Over the last few years, Pirate attendance has been moving one direction.  Southbound.
