Back to the contractually obligated scoring results to the prediction contest. No delay this week, a quick turn around so everyone can move onto Thanksgiving. Don't worry we don't predict...
Prediction results are here! What Bears @ Dolphins on Thursday Night isn't the end of Week 10? Ok, you are right. Speaking of which Bears eat Dolphins, simple enough. Lets end the pitiful...
ROTFLMAO Everything you ever needed to know about the Lambs franchise in one epic music video.
Hopefully everyone has had a chance to catch their breath from the amazing weekend. If you're still caught in the euphoria like me than you might not be ready to scan over the prediction...
You probably read the headline and realized I wasn't referring to you, me too. Unlike boy wonder, I didn't exactly light up the scoreboard this week. I wish I could find solace in the misfortune...
Not much to look forward to now. I need something to do. A fun bar sounds like a nice idea. Maybe find one with some foosball, darts, billiards and shuffleboard. I haven't found a bar that plays...
It's time for Week 6 results. I know most are anxious seeing how many went back to the prediction thread to gloat about their picks. I'm perfect, you're perfect, we're perfect, double digit score...
Welcome to the Niners Nation sanctuary. Here you will find no discussion on Alex Smith, Mike Singletary, Frank Gore, defensive failures, coaches, guarantees, the Yorks, "organization", draft...
Another week and another round of results. Of course the 49ers lost, yet this week was not like the others. A generious amount of points were handed out in the prediction contest. Hopefully you...
So I lied, I don't having a synopsis on how the scoring system works. We all forget to do our homework from time to time. Next week I will feel good, I will feel great, I will feel wonderful and...
We had a few understandable questions on the scoring last week and suspect there are still plenty of questions out there. It's a system that takes some time to conceptualize so I certainly...
bignerd here, I've taken over the score keeping part the contest from howtheyscored. He deserves a huge round of rec's for taking on this task the last few seasons. I'm quickly learning what a...
"We are pleased to announce that we have exercised our right to purchase the remaining interest in the St. Louis Rams football team under the terms of our Partnership Agreement. We have enjoyed our involvement in the National Football League since our original expansion efforts beginning in 1993 and our subsequent 15-year partnership with the Rams. We look forward to working with the Rosenbloom family and the NFL. We will respect the league and its processes in our efforts to complete this transaction." How does this affect the 49ers? Well, it's send the Rams back into a state of ownership flux. Kroenke has the right to refuse Khan's bid to purchase the majority share of the Rams but you'd think this was something that would have been sorted out months ago. Kroenke has his own issues becoming majority owner. This mess could leave the Rams in limbo for awhile.
I few days ago I noticed the National Football Post advertisement that is located in right column. I had previously visited the website before and came away with a rather good impression. It's...
On the Official NN User Mock Draft Thread I made the comment the Lions and Bucs would both pick McCoy over Suh. I'd like to elaborate on that comment than speculate on how this twist could...
In summary this article is about the Washington Redskins suing their loyal season ticket holders for breach of contract when they no longer have money to pay for future tickets. These are season ticket holders whose wealth and lively hood have been wiped out by the economy. Instead of canceling the contact the Redskins take them to court and still make them pay for tickets they've already sold to someone else.
I've been hanging around here long enough, it's about time I contributed something. Ok, it's really next to nothing but technically next to nothing is a small bit of something. In my defense,...
"I think they’ve got the right coach in Mike Singletary; I just don’t think they have the personnel department. They’ve blown picks every year – free agent, draft picks. They just spin their wheels [at] 6-10, 7-9. You wonder what they’re trying to do. They don’t get better. They overspend on free agents. In the draft, Alex Smith they missed on. Vernon Davis(notes) has been a big disappointment. And now, Michael Crabtree is like a prima donna. …" Unlike last year's Yahoo NFL team previews, this year's isn't all popcorn and bubble gum analysis. The quote above from their Opponents View section, which is off the record comments from other teams. I highly recommend the Opponent View reads. IMO, football analysis gold. The quote above was published before the entire Marvel Smith fiasco.
When it comes to Andy Lee, when in doubt, DRINK.
A Niners Nation reader takes a look at the media's discussion of the "weakness" of the NFC West.
I'd like to touch on a few of the big picture revelations that were exposed in the draft. We've already feverously debated draft the picks, players, strategies and expections. Consider this...
Can't wait to roll into Candlestick sporting this authentic team jersey.
Uniform Check Please! Checkout the photos posted on the 49ers website of their offseason training program. Adam Snyder and Chilo Rachal photos illustrate my point the best.
Sorry to burst Mel Kiper's bubble but Michael Crabtree is not a top NFL prospect. Top NFL WR prospects have tremendous size, speed and have demonstrated how to use those athletic attributes in...
TE Vernon Davis – Another offensive coordinator, more renewed talk of maximizing Davis’ athletic ability. It sounds like a running joke, considering Davis hasn’t come close to establishing himself as one of the top 10 tight ends in the league. His scant 1,132 receiving yards in three seasons, combined with the fact that he is a mediocre blocker, make him one of the most overpaid players in the NFL. He’s on the books for $8 million in cap space over the next two seasons, and he’d likely need to double last year’s numbers (358 receiving yards and two touchdowns) to come close to justifying it. And, no, coach Mike Singletary still isn’t a big fan.

Given the recent economic woes can top draft picks expect to receive more money than their counterparts in previous years? It's a question yet to be asked but could be making headlines soon. The...
"Somebody or some group apparently is trying to hide the degree of corruption in CSAC," KIMO explained his position. "CSAC former director, Armando Garcia, was allegedly caught with $350,000 (in cash) in his locker, but he was allowed to resign instead of being prosecuted."
KIMO Leopoldo explaining his desire to become Executive Officer of the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) News Blaze - CSAC needs KIMO Therapy"When I first met with these guys, (Fedor's) manager is like, 'Here's what we want to do. My brother is the biggest rock concert promoter over there. So here's what we want. We want you to build an arena in Russia,'" recounted White. "And I'm like, '(Expletive) timeout.' I want to sign a guy. I'm not looking to build arenas or get into business with you or anything like that. We'll pay him what he wants to be paid. We'll promote and do this and that. But it's not about Fedor when you talk to these guys."
