To me we are the most loyal fanbase in the NBA. Everytime i try to explain to someone why i like the warriors they just look at me in dumfounded amazement. But i try to save up money to catch a ballgame take my younger siblings we even watch all the games on TV paying the extra monthly charge on our satelite for the priviledge of watching these NBDL all stars. But it seems the rest of the fanbase has had enough.

Read an article on Sports Business Journal regarding TV ratings comparing the previous two years. Here's the url for the article http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/62322. The team with second biggest drop in percentage viewership negative 39 percent is our GS warriors. the only team with a bigger drop is the Kings with 40 percent. Essentialy a higher percentage of fans stopped watching this basketball team more than any franchise in the league. And there is some seriously crummy teams out there.

Now i know this ownership thinks it knows what its doing but the numbers say differently. I'm sure RR can understand numbers the bean counter that he is. Imagine in an economy where people are staying home more often and not going out to save money we are still having fans turn off the warriors games.

Now i give you some may have been bandwagon from the BD glorious years/year but i think most are just warriors fans that are sick of losing. What do you guys think and what do you think this means for us as a fanbase.

Plaxico the man that scored the game winning touchdown in the previous super bowl and then went on to shoot himself in the thigh while clubbing, has been released. There is no man better fit to be a raider than him. He's a big play reciever with some problems off the field just the way we like him. He'll cost less than someone with his equivalent talent and we can draft an o lineman or d lineman in the draft to shore up that area. this way we have the playmaker necessary and get the linemen that actually win in the playoffs. Allright guys take it easy it's my first post on this blog even though i been checking on this site for a while. Go RAIDERS.

here is the link with some insight from a douche:

there is no doubt in my mind we are the best. but don't take my word for it. i went to the warriors heat game in miami in a group of five. one dude from illinois, a laker fan from LA(annoying), one from minnesota, one from canada and me from the DA BAY!

by the end of the night four out of five were warriors fans. The dude from Canada is a full convert. he even ordered his Bdavis jersey.
the scene was incredible. like a third of the arena was warriors fans. everyone reppin' the bay. there was a group of about 15 dudes all wearing the blue "the city" jerseys with different warriors from mullin to hardaway to ellis they started the WARRIORS chant that rang through out the arena in the fourth quarter. awesome scene. by the end of the night all the warriors fans moved down and just owned the arena. We definitely have the best fans in the league you should've seen the miami locals they were shook.
oh yeah so were riding the metro after the game and this heat fan doesn't say dukie until he gets off at his stop and once he's comfortably away yells at these 3 asian guys "go back to california" without missing a beat one of the asian guys says "how does the gutter smell?" and that night was closed as oakland completely owned Miami.
BEST FANS IN THE WORLD NO DOUBT

i hate our tv deal

So i'm paying 30 bucks a month for the basic 100 channels plus $5 for local channels. Now i've been living in the caribbean for two years and then various cities around the us for a year and the only warriors games i saw were the nationally televised and the playoff games. So you can imagine my excitement when i came back to the bay area and lo and be hold no warriors games.
more after the jump

I have to pay an extra 12.99 a month so i can get a bunch of b.s. channels plus FSN bay area which plays the warrior games. It's the most frustrating thing i've ever seen. How do i not get to watch my local team (a source of pride) on my local stations with MY anouncers. This is ridiculous. And to make it worse now that i paid Dish Networks the extra 12.99 i get all the kings games. why would i want that? I apologize for my first diary being a whining session but really why do we not get our local team games on our local stations? I've been to miami, and dallas on trips and they both get their local teams and when i lived in vacaville we got the kings games on the local station so why are the warriors not on local tv. A few years back before i finished undergrad (banana slugs)my family was poor so i worry about the fans that can't pay the extra to get the warrior games. This to me is a serious problem our local fan base that can't afford the extra satelite is being neglected.
