My name is Neil. I am 28. I grew up and currently live in central Illinois. Single and working. I have been a lifelong Cardinal fan in house full of Cub fans. Most of my friends are Cub fans. My fandom and loyalty are tried and tested on a constant basis. I joined VEB mostly to keep my sanity. That statement is less of a joke than it should be. I have lurked, commented, and lost last year due to fantasy baseball. I'm not a crazy stat guy but I consider myself to know more than the average fan. I would like to learn more about metrics though, as I currently have only a basic understanding of it. I'm a big fan of "the ole eye test." Not a fan of the hole next to the ballpark. I used to like Tony La Russa a lot... While I still believe he's a great manager, I have grown tired of the same old charade and no longer care if he stays or goes. I love our stadium. Albert is a God! Colby-Jack is the shiznat, even on a sandwich. Al Hraboski has the best nickname and cracks me up when he talks about "those Asians." Ummm, lets see..what else...Speed kills in baseball and we need more of it cuz the lack of it killed us last year, imo. Can't wait to see the new pieces in action. Looking forward to another year and another NL Central title! I am worried about the Brew Crew though.
