Lifelong Cards fan from Springfield, MO. Trying to see at least 20 SGF Cards games in 2008 to break my 2007 record. Drunkenly ribbed Ankiel (good-heartedly) from 15 feet away when he was at Springfield, and have since been atoning by buying as much #24 merchandise as I can wear on my body (even though #50 is my favorite red bird). Going to Game 4 of the 2006 World Series ranks as one of the greatest moments of my life.

Aaron Miles is a sad fellow
Long story, but my friend's fiancee's friend's boyfriend had a run-in with ol' Grit himself at a bar in Chicago, and wrote about it in an email. I think it's an interesting look into the mind of the saddest little utility player in the MLB. Enjoy!

The reason I bring it up is because I had this weird dream where...

MLB Road Records
I'm not much of a stat head myself (although I love reading about them when other people do the math), but I noticed something interesting when I was looking at the standings tonight. Only four teams (LAA, PHI, FLA, STL) have a winning road record, the White Sox are the only team at an even .500, and everyone else is bringing up the rear. I'm not sure what it means, but it feels good to be one of the elite few with a winning record on the road as well as at home.
