Frantz Joseph waived!!!
According to Raiderbeat.com
"The Raiders waived rookie linebacker Frantz Joseph on Tuesday in a move that comes as somewhat of a surprise, just as their decision to waive sixth-round draft pick Stryker Sulak did Monday."
Man i was really looking forward to this guy putting on the pads and putting on a hard hitting show but i guess he has been way too slow for the raiders and now is looking for a new job. Hopefully we just sign him later and give him another shot.
RAIDERS AND BARNES UNABLE TO FINALIZE CONTRACT
Contract talks between the Raiders and the agent for offensive tackle Khalif Barnes are at an impasse.
As a result, Barnes’ agent, Kenny Zuckerman, told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat that Barnes now is inclined to sign with one of two other unnamed teams not named the Raiders.
Zuckerman and the Raiders worked on the parameters of a deal Thursday and seemed close to finalizing a multi-year package.
A league source said that Raiders coach Tom Cable signed off on Barnes but that managing general partner Al Davis still isn’t sold on the idea. Davis no doubt is being extra cautious after his gamble on Kwame Harris last season backfired in a big way.
The Raiders remain in the market for a replacement for released veteran Harris. Third-year player Mario Henderson did an admirable job in place of Harris last season, but he is far from a polished product and Cable and Davis want to make darned sure that quarterback JaMarcus Russell’s blindside is well taken care of on more than occasion.
The Raiders likely would consider using their No. 7 pick in the NFL Draft on an offensive tackle if they aren’t able to sign Barnes or another free agent.
