Second Favorite?
Most of us, on Arrowhead Pride love the Chiefs (I hope), but almost all of us have a second favorite team that we root for. Especially during playoff time, where our beloved Chiefs are not in once again, we all root for one team to win (when not playing the Chiefs). My personal second favorite is the Cardinals from last year because I empathized with their pain. Anyways, without further ado, what is your second favorite team in the NFL?
What about the Nuggets
The Nuggets are for real. After dominating New Orleans in five games and leading their currents series they are a force to be reckoned with. Everybody seems to have discounted them and have already penciled in the Lakers in the Finals. The Lakers, if they get by Houston (which is very likely now that Yao is out), will probably have to battle the Nuggets to go to the Finals.
The Nuggets now have Chauncey Billups who has always given the Lakers trouble in the past. He has changed the mindset of the team into a defensive team that has a legitimate shot at a championship. They have a great bench with Birdman Anderson and JR Smith. They have Nene and K-Mart who all are great role players that are great rebounders. They of course have Mr. Big Shot who has led this team to the Conference Semi-finals and a #2 playoff seed. They also have Carmelo Anthony a great scorer who can also hit big shots.
The Nuggets have the ability to run, play the half-court game, rebound, play defense pretty much everything. The Nuggets match up great with the Lakers and can potentially beat them in a 7-game series. They are anything but the favorite, but they are a real threat, and the Lakers have to watch out for them.
Brings back old memories. Still gives me chills
The Chiefs Linebackers
The Chief's worst position last year was linebackers but now we have made some nice free agent signings. Here is a list of our linebackers as of today:
- Monty Beisel
- Rocky Boiman
- Weston Dacus
- Curtis Gatewood
- Derrick Johnson
- Corey Mays
- Darrel Robertson
- Mike Vrabel
- Demorrio Williams
- Zach Thomas
Gatewood, Mays, Robertson are all probably training camp fodder and will be cut. Beisel, Boiman, Dacus, and Williams will probably be backups and I think they will be solid. DJ, Vrabel, Thomas, and someone that we will draft will start.
Chiefs switching to 3-4 – is it a mistake?
I just thought this was interesting.
