Dog days of summer
Ya know what's fun? Imagine a scenario, any scenario, that plummets you back in time, say 1990. You are your younger self, yet have your 2009 memories. Time machine, astral plane, memory therapy gone wrong, whatever. You would have the knowledge to become a millionaire times over. Billions would be within your reach. That would leave you with the resources to buy a NBA franchise. In 1995 ya buy one. You then move the Sonics to OKC and rename them the Thunder. The decision is made to decide all personnel moves. Who is the coach? The players you would draft up to now? Strategy to enhance your advantage of knowing who will be superstars? When is too many, in terms of stars? Can you have too many? Yada, yada, yada. Hours can be lost in bliss, creating the superteam.
OKC trades for Chandler
What a great thing to wake up to. Looks like the thunder just aquired a big who historically has been great at shotblocking and interior D..http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3913301. I'm sure there are some who would love to keep Wilcox rotting on the bench but I am not one of those. This was a vet move I was waiting for Presti to pull off. Its not offical yet, and I would think a pick might be in there as well. How could this not be a steal for the Thunder? 10 million too much? Not every free agent will come running to OKC. Get em while you can.
Two for one lands the local boy
What does everyone think about the prospect of trading two number one picks for the overall number one? Could this be the reason we picked up an extra #1 for Petro. If I was a struggling team I would have to consider trading a 2-5 and a late first rounder for Griffin. Heck, that still leaves us a pick in the first after Griffin. It will be hard to work in 5 first rounders into the rotation in two years. Too young a team for Durant coming to age. Keep two or three, move up or bring in a vet.
