Krautman earns Week 10 Honors from ESPN
Was surfing ESPN on my lunch and they just released some praise for various players and teams from Week 10. Check out this article at the bottom: Ross "The Kraut" Krautman was featured as one of the "Special Specialists" for Week 10. He comes in at number 5 on the list. Orange Nation should be proud. No comment yet from the tiny nation of Lichtenstein.

Seven Wins is the Magic Number?
Maybe I'm late to the party. Maybe I'm not reading the rules right. Or maybe this is some revelation that we have not thought of yet, but it looks like Syracuse is going to need to record at least SEVEN wins this season to be declared bowl eligible. According to current regulations dictating who can participate in the Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly D-1A), "a team must record at least six wins in the standard twelve game schedule, which may include one win against a Division I FCS scholarship-awarding opponent, or win their conference, and the team must not be on probation." The NCAA allows one victory per season over a Division I FCS (formerly I-AA) team to count towards an FBS team's bowl eligibility.
So we need to find 4 more wins somewhere, assuming we win against Colgate. I think we get three against USF, Louisville, and Rutgers. But then that means we need to find one more somewhere. Will it be Pitt, WVU, Cinci, BC, or UConn?
I would have to go with UConn, only because Georgetown doesn't have a football team in the Big East.
