Sounder At Heart NCAA Tournament Group for SaH?

I know it's wrong sport and all... but would there be any interest in having a SaH bracket group for the NCAA tournament?

I know lots of soccer fans that are also fans of other sports. I don't think SBNation has a tournament pick'm app, so I created a group on ESPN for Sah. I made it public, so no password or anything like that.

Hope to see some of you there and good luck.

Sounder At Heart CCL site confirms Seattle as first to claim birth in 2011 CCL

Didn't see this linked on the news stories, so I thought I would add it over here as a fan post.   Looks like www.concacaf.com thinks we have qualified for the CCL next year.

Seattle Claims first birth in 2011/2012 CCL

SEATTLE - The Seattle Sounders will return to the CONCACAF Champions League for a second straight year, becoming the first team to qualify for the 2011-2012 championship with a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew in the U.S. Open Cup final Tuesday night.

Sounder At Heart Extra Time on Scoreboard

Is there some reason we don't have the extra time counting up on the scoreboard?   Seems like a pretty common feature on televised games, which lead me to wonder if there was a league rule against showing it inside the stadium.   Is it a reaction against the count down style clocks that MLS had in the early days?

I'm just curious, because its always comes up in our little corner of the stadium.   We've even started to nominate our own local score keeper that runs a stop watch (on his iphone).

Sounder At Heart Do we have three teams on the Sounders?

I was reading an article on ESPN today about Capello relaxing the no WAG policy at the world cup. Dribble to be sure. But I was struck by this quote about his time are Real Madrid in 2006.

"After each game they had a barbeque. It created a great spirit of the group. These are the little differences that can sometimes make the difference when it comes to winning. The managers need to understand what is best."

Capello went on to explain why his own experience at Real Madrid shows why team spirit can be so important in a successful side: "When I went to Real Madrid [in 2006] they had not won anything for three years, which is strange for a club the size of Real Madrid.

"Inside the dressing room there were three different teams - a South American group, Spanish group and the others. I had to work really hard to break these different groups down and bring everyone together. I had to make strong decisions and make sure there was a spirit within the team - when the group found the spirit of the shirt they won. Spirit is one of the most important things for a team. You need to have a good spirit to win."

I just wonder if we are suffering from having to many teams in the locker room. We have the spanish team, the old Sounders team and Sigi's allstars. Do these groups get along? Do they try to play the game the same way? Seems like there is alway tension surrounding these groups.

Lookout Landing .500 April = Playoffs?

Mariners first few series are against LA, Oakland, Cleveland, Boston, and surprise Detriot.    That looks like a pretty good prediction of playoff teams from the AL.  Would going 500 against that schedule be a good enough mark to consider ourselves a playoff contender?

I think it is too much to ask this team at this point to post much more then a 500 record against those teams right now.   But, if they did, I'd definitly feel good that a late season charge was on the way.
