"It's just OU and Texas now," McFarland told Rivals.com reporter Josh McCuistion shortly after his ceremony this morning.

"It's time to get down to making a decision now."

Link ($)

McFarland would be a huge add for us considering the lack of Depth at DT next season. I am under the impression that he could come in and start right away. It would also be really tough see him head to the Sooners.

Always fun to see these early projections. If i remember correctly Texas was projected a 6 seed last season.

Colley Rankings

The Colley Rankings are part of the BCS formula. This is the computer that has Texas ranked at #1. On the Colley web site they have a "hypothetical page" in which you can put in who wins and who loses.

Here is what happened when I submitted the following

Texas beats Kansas

Texas beats A&M

Oklahoma beats Tech

Oklahoma beats OSU

Tech Beats Baylor

Hypothetical Rankings

1. Texas

2. Oklahoma

3. Alabama

4. Florida

5. Utah

6. Tech

7. USC

Although there would still be some other games that would go into the formula. This is a good indication how this poll will vote. Now I am under the impression that the Final BCS vote would be determined by the human polls this is still a good sign.

Quick Question, in the computer polls does the BCS drop the highest and lowest scores? For instance

Texas Computer Rankings look like this: 4 3 1 3 3 3

After they would drop the highest and lowest it would look like this: (4) 3 (1) 3 3 3

As many of you are focused on the game this weekend, Texas landed a huge basketball commit today. Jordan Hamilton the #5 overall prospect in the Rivals 150 committed to Texas on ESPNU.

He say that he is excited to play along side Avery Bradley and Shawn Williams. He says he texts and talks to Bradley often and they have discussed playing together for a long time.

He also stated that he has family in Austin and that was another reason he wants to come to Texas.

This makes 3 Top 100 Recruits for the Class of 2009. Jordan Hamilton

WIth all the Talk about Blaine Irby's season ending knee injury, the Longhorns could be affected by yet another season ending knee Injury.

Devon Kennard highly touted prospect out of Arizona received this news yesterday after an MRI. Texas was in his top 5 and are still recruiting him. Along with USC, Arizona State, Cal, and UCLA.

All 5 teams called him when they recieved word. I wonder how this will affect his recruiting, if anything i think it helps Texas due to the fact they have given scholorships in the past to players that have been hurt and could not play.

Here is the Link
