We all knew Shogun was going to have knee surgery again and now its been announced that he won't be able to return to the Octagon® till next March. I think this is an awesome opportunity to put on great fights and get a number one contender in the 205 pound division. The idea is for the UFC to put on an eight man light heavyweight tournament, I know this isn't ideal for somebody like Rashad but if the UFC would seed the tourney and start in say August that will give them around 8 months which isn't unreasonable for three fights. Even if the UFC wants to stick to its word (a first) and give Rashad a title fight then the tournament final and Shogun vs. Rashad could headline a major card in March or April next year. Here is how I would seed the tourney

1.Machida

2.Vitor Belfort

3. Rampage

4. Rogerio

5. Rich Franklin

6. Forrest

7. Bader

8. Thiago Silva

I think this puts the fighters pretty close to where they should be, while also promising some interesting rematches in the first round when Rampage v. Forrest and Machida vs. Silva happen again. You can let the winner or Jones vs. The Janitor be the alternate. Obviously if you include Rashad he goes to the top. I know this is sort of a pipe dream but is one I would love to see. What do y'all think?

So I got suckered into showing up to Gamestop tonight at midnight to pick up my new 2k10, and now I am trying it out  for a little while. I am impressed with the updated graphics and game play is ok, but I hate the new menu. Anybody else stay up late to pick up their new game the show or 2k? what do yall think about it? Does this even deserve a thread? I don't know, but this has really started to become a beating.

I am ready for us to bring somebody up that can help our offense and not just fill in in the middle of the infield, we need Davis, Boggs, and dare I say Smoak. I didn't think I would want to see Smoak before September, but I am desperate for some offense.

So TR talked to RonWash today and he said that he believes that we will make a deal. TR continues to be skeptical about whether we can or will be able to make any moves. I personally wouldn't be apposed to being sellers in a sense. I don't think we will be bringing back Marlon or Hank, so why not see what you can get for them, especially Marlon sense he is not likely to get us a pick. But all that has been talked about  ad nauseum.

And Scott Miller had an interesting note up that  in June we only ordered enough baseballs to get through July. Surely a local high school will let us borrow some if we need them.

Holy crap, I know it is just one regular season game, but all that is Holy in Baseball what will it take for the Angels to lose a freaking game. I knew, just knew when I looked down at gameday and saw Jesse Friggin Crane coming in for the bottom of the tenth that the Angels were going to win. Any ways discuss, how the Angels beat one of the best closers in baseball with two outs and a two run lead, and how the Twins absolutely hate us and want all Ranger fans to suffer!

This is what I have to say to J.P. and the Blue Jays: Here they are, here are the keys to my farm, take the tractor down and take a look at what I got and help yourself, I might want to talk to ol' Roy real quick and see if he would be willing to discuss an extension but if he will then its a deal because I will give him what he wants. This is the kind of deal that you build your farm system up for, so you can trade for this type of player if the oppurtunity  ever comes along! I am going to Yankee Stadium for the final Boston series! I have never been to New York so I dont know where to by tickets, where is the best place to sit? Left Field/third base upper deck, right field/1st base upper deck, or the bleachers? I also heard if I buy tickets in the bleachers that they wont let me walk around the rest of the stadium, is this true? Thank every one for all the help in advance! Hello New Yorkers from friendly Texas. I will be making my pilgrimage to Yankee Stadium next month, to see the beautifull girl before she is replaced. I was wondering where would be the best place to sit on a budget? Right Field upper deck, Left Field/Third Base upper deck, or the Bleachers? Your input would be GREATLY appreciated I hope to make this experience as enjoyable as possible and promise to route for the Yankees against the hated and sorry Red Sox.

Ok I dont want to get a head of my self, but if we win two out of the next four games before the All Star Break we will have 50 wins at the break. If I remember right weren't we all going to get together and make a real push for our boys and the All-Star Game. I know I am good for a few fake email address's and a hundred votes or so. I think with our team up there in NY City trying to impress the "real baseball fans" haha, we need to get behind them here! I dont have an account over at Newbergs site so will someone who does post this for them and lets try to really get behind Kinsler and Bradley (since they are the only two who actually have a chance to catch the guys in front of them) and lets get 3 starters in the Classic. Per TR Sullivan and TexasRangers.com Hank Blalock is back with the team but wont be activated anytime soon. Hank's hand/wrist is still swolen and will be out atleast a couple of weeks and definately wont be back before the break! I dont know what y'all think, but for me, a huge Hank fan, its time for the team to move on, either keep Max at first base regularly or go ahead and bring up Davis. Whatever we do its time to get Red out of there.

So there it is after spending 10 hours at the ballpark 10am to 8pm getting sunburned and bullpen burned it still turned out to be a good day.  Hopefully our bullpen will straighten up and our starter will get everything back home taken care of.

We have placed AJ on the dl, purchased the contract of the Lizard and here is the big surprise, we option T.Metcalf to AAA and recall Loe, we have no backup infielder for tonight and it seems they are planning for Byrd to be the backup middle infielder and Shelton to be the backup 3rd baseman which makes me wonder why it wouldnt be cat as the backup if, evan grant had a quote   "Hey, we gotta survive tonight." but didnt say who he got it from.

Alright here it is for all you Nolan haters heres your chance to state your alliance. Nolan is a great guy( yes I have met him personally and was really good friends with a guy who grew up with Reid and is still very close to him so I am not just guessing he is a good guy) a guy who came to this organization for one reason and thats to turn it around. Nolan didnt need money, or it wasnt like he couldnt find stuff to do, with owning a beef company and two minor league clubs. He came back here because this org. is something he cares about and he thinks he can make a difference here. So for all you Haters who keep talking all this Shit about him and how hes doing his job tell, heres your chance to let everyone know. So all you have to do is simply state your alliance you either think Nolan will do a good job building a winner here or you dont want him here.
