Mark Richt confirmed today in his weekly press conference, "A.J. will not play this week [vs. UK] for sure, and we're not certain after that." A.J. Green went out of last weekends game vs. Auburn with a shoulder injury and did not return. Green has lead the SEC in receiving yards for most of the season and is currently second in the league. Prior to the Auburn game Green carried the load for UGA's offense and I would have thought they would really be screwed without him. However, UGA rallied to put up 31 points after A.J. Green left the game! This forced them to run the ball which really worked in their favor because UGA was living and dying by the deep ball. If you had asked my opinion before last weekend  I would have picked UK beat UGA with or without A.J. Green because they were so one dimensional. Now, after seeing the balanced attack Green's absence forced them into, I think it may prove to be a tougher match up for UK without him in the lineup.
