Grew up in Danville, KY and have followed the Cats since the 60s.

My family would watch UK games on TV, but turn down the sound and listen to Cawood on the radio.

Moved to Bowling Green to attend WKU; loved BG so much, I stayed.

My wife works at WKU, but has a masters from UK.

We love the Cats and the Hilltoppers.

She pulls for Louisville, too.

I can't do that.

A Sea Of Blue UK Football Hall of Famer Ralph Kercheval Dies at 98

Former UK running back and placekicker Ralph G. Kercheval (12/01/1911-10/06/2010) died this morning in Lexington.

While playing at UK (1931-33), Kercheval was known for his punting, which resulted in SEC records for most punts (101), yards (4,413) and single game average (52.0). He also played seven years in the NFL for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1934-1940) before moving on to a successful career as a trainer, owner and farm manager in thoroughbred horse racing.

Kercheval was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame (1994) and UK honored him in the charter class of the UK Athletics Hall of Fame (2005). He was the oldest living professional football player.
