Berkeley, CA cycling freak. I love following road racing. I probalbly check this and other news sites on an average of ten times a day. My current favorite rider is Pippo Pozzato. I am into all riders who are the true "hard men" of the peloton.

Levi is broken
Well, at least his fibula is. Major sad face. Get well soon Levi.
Pippo out until T-A
This is a bummer. Hopefully he will be at full strength for the cobbles.
Heal, my pretty-boy-hardman, heal!
Score 1 for Lance
at least in my book. I hope this isn't too political for these parts, but I thought it was pretty cool
Pippo is back!
This really made my day.
Protest on the Muur
I guess we're not the only ones that are upset about the 2012 Ronde route.
Rapha Short Film of Paris Roubax
This is only accessible for the weekend, so check it out soon.
I have not watched the whole thing yet, but from what I have seen so far, you will like it.
Rapha releases these shorts from time to time, so it might be worth signing up for their email notifications.
For all of you Derailleur Freaks
Cool site about the history of derailleurs. Kind of like an online museum. Enjoy!
Men's Cyclocross Nationals Live
Starts 2:30 Pacific Time
Flemish Article on VDB
Some juicy info that I had not seen reported elsewhere.
Prostitutes, drinks, drugs and robbery, oh my!
East Bay Cobble Debrief at the Trappist
Come to downtown Oakland to sip a few suds, meet some PdC peeps, and talk about the past two weeks of the worlds greatest races.
Look for the bearded guy in the red "Che Merckx" t-shirt and the turquiose team Zed cap. It will probably be crowded, but well worth it IMHO.

Mashed up music, race video, and training prompts.
Best of all, it's free!
Fast Freddie Sighting
[editor's note, by chris] This should make for a good feature over the next week: run-ins with Greatness! Feel free to file any stories of rides shared with or intersecting the Pro Tour stars currently let loose on our unsuspecting nation. Also, by run-ins I mean the kind that don't snap collarbones. General details only; nobody needs their hotel room posted online. Thanks!
Ran into Freddie in his new Rock Racing kit last Sunday. He was aboard a new carbon De Rosa with integrated seatpost, Rock Racing graphics and a funny lime green paint scheme. As usual, he was as friendly as can be. He asked where our group was going, and I sensed that he was looking for company. Unfortunately, he was heading out on a loop that was longer than I had time for. Well, I probably could have made time, but the idea of riding alone with a Pro Tour level riding was a bit more than I could handle. I did have the pleasure of riding his wheel for a few minutes as we cruised (at 38mph!) down Redwood Road to the intersection of Pinehust (in Oakland, CA for non Bay Area readers).
Anyone else have any good pro sightings in their areas lately? I'm keeping my eyes open for Tommeke and his crew as they preview the ToC route.
Peace.
