FSN Arizona’s Jody Jackson checks in with Fanster: Super Bowl XLIII Wednesday Update

The following is a special blog from Fox Sports Arizona’s Jody Jackson who will check in from Tampa to update Cardinals fans exclusively on Fanster.com:

Today felt very much like business for the football team. Remember yesterday, they had a good portion of the day off, and that is strange for a bunch of guys living in a hotel. Too little time to do much but go out to eat, but almost time enough to feel bored or not know what to do.

The team hotel is off almost on an island of its own. It’s beautiful and pretty quiet. In contrast, the Steelers’ hotel is across from a mall, so those players are dealing with a lot of autograph seekers and fans. The Cards hotel is all decked out in red with huge logos and a big picture of Kurt Warner as you come in.

[QUIZ]Do you belong on the Arizona Cardinal bandwagon?

With the Cardinals new found success, things seem to be getting a little crowded around here. With that in mind, those of us at Fanster.com thought that fans should have to take the Arizona Cardinals Bandwagon Placement Test to determine just where they fit in, and how well they know their Arizona Cardinals. This test is designed to determine if you’re a long-suffering Cardinal fan who baked on the metal benches at Sun Devil Stadium, or a Johnny-come-lately doesn’t remember life before a state-of-the-art home field advantage. Either way, welcome! Enjoy, and maybe we’ll see you on the Bandwagon.

In The Post: J-Rich and Coach D Edition

Fanster.com’s Greg Esposito, Black Jesus Disciples’ Mark McLane and ValleyoftheSuns.com’s Michael Schwartz break down the Jason Richardson trade, discuss whether Mike D’Antoni misses the Suns more than the Suns miss him and debate about the Suns chances in the West. All that and much more on this week’s edition of In The Post.

  • Did Steve Kerr pull of the deal of the year in acquiring Jason Richardson?
  • By picking up Richardson do the Suns seem to be longing for the Joe Johnson days?
  • Are the Suns officially a true contender in the west again?
Is this "the move" this season or is it the beginning of the rebuilding process?
  • Should the Suns deal Amare?
  • D'Antoni returns to town and the Suns return to the run and gun style, Who misses who more, D'Antoni missing Suns or Suns missing D'Antoni?
  • Who is to blame for the break up?

In The Post - Shaqzilla Edition 12/10/08

This was recorded before the Jason Richardson trade. We'll get discussion up in regaurds to this trade before the day is out!

On this week’s edition of In The Post, we talk about the events that transpired in the last week. The Suns goes 2-2: they look like crap on the road and then formidable at home. What do we make of the team right now? Mark McLane from Black Jesus Disciples and Michael Schwartz from Valleyofthesuns.com join the show to discuss nothing but the Phoenix Suns:

1. Shaq lights it up in win last night, can we expect more of the same going forward?
2. 2-2 last week, how are you feeling about the Suns now? Better, worse, or the same?
3. The Suns seem to be playing more comfortably in the old Run N’ Gun style? Do you foresee Porter sticking with this type of play if they keep winning?
4. What do the Suns do about Amare’s inconsistent rebounding from game to game?
5. Lastly, is it time to consider trading Amare or is that a bit premature?

In The Post - A brand New Phoenix Suns Podcast - Week 2

ed note - Just listened to this. It's about time we get another Suns focused podcast and this is a good one. Here's the RSS feed you can add to your iTunes, etc.

Hey Everyone,

We just launched a brand new Phoenix Suns podcast, In The Post, over on Fanster.com.

Seeing as you guys are the best bunch of Suns fans on the net I wanted to get your thoughts on the podcast, see how liked it and field some suggestions. Here are the topics we discussed with the link below:

Hot Topics:
1. Amare wants more touches and how this relates to the summer of 2010
2. Resting Shaq on back-to-backs, which could lead into the discussion of the NO-DAL back-to-back
3. Bad losses to NJ and Miami at home. Time to panic?
4. Time to give up on Sean Singletary and Goran Dragic?

D-backs fan caught red handed...and red skinned for that matter

D-backs fan caught red handed...and red skinned for that matter In our first investigative report of its kind, we uncovered the true events that took place during the course of the Cubs 3-1 loss to the Diamondbacks last Saturday at Chase Field. One of the D-backs faithful imposters, Nate Keating, painted himself in sedona red from the waist up and preceded to get himself arrested by Chase Field security: // Click Here

azSportsHub.com Looking for writers...

Hi all, I talked with Jim a few weeks back about looking for an exclusive writer for AZ Sports Hub(azsportshub.com). Jim writes a weekly article for us, but we are looking specifically for a beat writer who can write 2-3 articles per week on the Dbacks. These articles can be about team gossip, team play, game recaps, or whatever you feel that you are interested in writing. If you are interested, please email me at mblake@azsportshub.com. This is an unpaid position, but you will have a bio and your own blog page. We can turn this page into anything that you would like. If you have any questions, please let me know. Best, Matt
