Possible Anthony Randolph Blockbuster trade?

The Golden State Warriors have yet to receive an attractive offer for Anthony Randolph, according to Yahoo Sports, which means teams may still be scrambling to put together a package for the high-ceiling forward. Randolph's agent told ESPN.com's Chris Broussard that his client isn't against a trade, but, as Broussard pointed out, he may be a tough asset to trade because he is valued far higher than his $1.8 million salary. New York and Houston were mentioned as possible landing spots. Real GM also reported that though the Warriors don't want to trade young guards Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry and Anthony Morrow, they aren't in a position to rule anything out. So it's possible that the blockbuster trade might be be on the way to send Randolph out of town with a bigger salary.

Another front office mistake...

Another one bites the dust...

Thanks to our beloved front office we've yet again blew up our team. This seasons future looks like a complete bust already after only the 1st quarter and it's of course all due to the Golden State Warriors lovely front office. We are now looking to trade the "untouchables" when we could have traded them for a legitimate superstar (Amare).

Imagine if we actually went through with the trade...

Monta

Jackson

Buike

Wright

Amare

OMG... FML!!!! I don't think Buike or Wright would've been injured because duh the outcome of the game would be different unless it's like Final Destination and the future is already written... but anyways... Yeah, really though? The front office is pretty darn stupid if they end up trading any of our so called "Untouchables" because they'll just be repeating the same thing they've done for the past 14 or something years. Plain stupid if they end up trading any of the pieces that could have been dealt for Amare.

One thing is for sure, and that thing is one of the skinny power forwards has got to go. For me? I would let Randolph go. From what I've seen, I think Brandon Wright is going to be the type of PF that will give you everything that is labeled of him every single night (consistency; think Chris Bosh). Anthony Randolph will be the type that will give you what you want to see (think Josh Smith).

Brandon Wright has shown excellence mostly every game he's started from what I remember of last season. He was showing that sweet lil baby hook and mid range jumper that he was knocking down on a pretty good percentage oh and even threw down those tomahawks and windmill dunks. We know he can block shots and rebound if he puts his heart into it but we also know he needs to gain weight which can be done over time. Wright can be that low post threat we've always been looking for and he doesn't  force things even as a youngster..."Whacha know 'bout that baby hook foo?!"

Anthony Randolph CAN be a beast but at most times he looks like a 6th grader that just got into JV and thinks he's the best guy on the floor. He can be seen most of the time calling for the ball as he runs the floor or jumping at any sign of a shot attempt (offense or defense). He has a great FT stroke and can shoot the mid range but has yet to show any signs of consistency. He can also run the floor and handle the ball pretty well for his size and of course block and rebound shots if he puts good solid effort into it. But! To me, everything he does on the court looks like a desperate move to gain attention from the league. He just needs to let the game come to him...

So yeah, front office... why didn't you trade for Amare again?...you suck Cohan. Larry Ellison FTMFW.

Front page of ESPN. It's great to see Ellis getting recognized for the monster games he's been having.

I think it's time that we finally hand over the team to Monta

There has been so much talk about Monta the past couple of months that we forgot how good he really was. We signed him to a $66 million contract for a reason, and that reason was because we wanted to hand over the team to him. We've been caught up in all of this media blabber and forgot that maybe it was always the medias intention to turn our backs on Monta. The game Monta played in Portland really got me amped up about whats to come for the rest of the season. Monta is all star caliber no question!

I forgot what freak of an athlete Monta was before Portlands game; his lighting fast change of gears  then finishing with silky smooth layups. Please, name one other person in the NBA that can pull off the kind of layups Monta does night in and night out. If Monta can truly become a better passer and put in the same effort on D against Brandon Roy, we're going to have ourselves a very intriguing/unique specimen on our team for a loooong time.(5+years?)

The last interview I heard with Monta was that he clearly wanted to be a Warrior for as long as possible, and why wouldn't he?! This is HIS team! If he were to go to another organization he might not be their main man. So having that said, I do not mind at all to have Stephen Curry be our point guard because clearly Monta can guard the bigger 2 guards now. Curry is clearly the better point guard right now so let him be the point! The star of the team doesn't have to be the point guard, ala Kobe Bryant. When the game is on the line I want the ball to be in Monta's hands because that's what a leader or a star does. We have to let Monta become the star that we always wanted him to be and for that to happen he has to make the big plays for us.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one that thinks we may have started to hate on Monta a bit too much but all I'm trying to say is we should all start to believe in Monta and know that he'll do what's good for the team from here on out. I feel after Portlands game were going to have a pretty surprising season and our season starts now as a brand new team... hopefully Turiaf, Biedrins, Watson, Wright, Azubuike, Nellie, and now Anthony Randolph get better soon and we can gain back some respect from this league... Dang our team is probably worse off than last season,That's sad!!! LGW!!

Is it just me or are you guys also noticing

That the coaching staff, players, and fans are showing way more excessive body language and facial expressions whenever a foul is being called? Yes, I'm trying to make a point that everyone is aware of the book and all have probably read the same excerpts. It is going to be pretty interesting as time passes because the NBA has made a statement that they will read the book and act accordingly.

I think Donaghy is scheduled to be released later this week so I'm sure he's going to be stormed by reporters about the book and if he can prove the statements are true. As most of you know he mentioned names in the book and those people can sue him for infringement... (I think that's what it's called from business law) so he better be careful on what he says during those interviews.

After reading the excerpts I've become pretty disgusted about the way the NBA was ran up till this season. There were probably games that were ran last season but this season should be different now that the refs have all been put on blast by the media. I hate knowing that games have been rigged for this many years because I gamble too and I've mostly been on the losing side =*(

The thing I think sucks most about this is that the refs probably hated the Warriors squad the most so games have always been called against us for years... no wonder we only made playoffs once in 15 seasons.  Ok Ok, I know it's just silly excuses but I'm sure it had to count for a number of games over the years. Maybe I'm just crazy but I think these refs gotta go and I think we would have been better with those D-League refs... at least we know they could make trustworthy calls and improve as time goes by.

Whatever, but I think whenever you've worked the bizz for plenty of years you're going to know how to work the bizz for your own benefits. Am I right? I would if I worked the same job for 20 + years and no one ever questioned you besides a silly rating system.

Imagine if Lebron signed with the Clippers next season

I just read on ESPN insider:

"Leading the way in cap room? The New Jersey Nets. Depending on what the cap settles at, they could have between $21.3-24.9 million in cap space. They're followed in order by the Knicks, Heat, Bulls, Timberwolves, Thunder and Clippers."

Imagine if Lebron signed with the LA Clippers next season... How crazy would that be to have a supporting cast of

Baron Davis

Eric Gordon

Lebron James / Thornton

Blake Griffin / Kaman

Marcus Camby / Kaman / De Andre

The west would have two powerhouses just like Celtics vs Orlando. This signing would really suck for everyone in the West and LA would really be treated to have two of the biggest superstars currently in the NBA... But anyways do you guys even think the NBA would even allow this to ever happen? I would think they would like to have one superstar per city for a cities sake.

Would you be OK with Lebron coming to the clippers next season?
Heck yeah! Bring down the fakers!

Kings to SJ? (unreliable source)

One of my best friends dad works for the city of San Jose and he said Sacramento Kings is going to come to San Jose for at least 1 year before they are bought out by a new owner as we all should know by now the Kings are being forced to move out. It's already in the works so he says but for sure the Kings are going to be in San Jose for at least a season.

Yes I know it's not a very reliable source but I know his dad and he isn't a person that would say BS. Anyways I don't think I'd really mind if the Kings came for a season or two because I wouldn't mind seeing Lebron or Kobe two or 3 times more a year in the Bay. But who knows? Maybe if the Kings do come here and SJ sees that it can be a successful caterer to Professional Basketball they'll make a hard push to bring the Warriors! It's wishful thinking but for reals if the Warriors did come to San Jose it would be full capacity every single game since SJ is the dead center of the Silicon Valley.

How are your feelings towards "Captain" Jack? -poll attached

After all this media attention Jackson is getting I want to know how people feel about our captain now that he wants to be traded. Yes, he may be the "best" or rather most complete player on a pretty deep squad but would it really be smart to keep him? We have so much untapped talent on our roster waiting to be given a chance we could probably afford to lose his expensive contract for expiring contracts or for whatever would make us better.

OK, so I thought about it and I was wondering how Stack Jack would take it if the crowd that he fell in love with boos him like crazy opening night or whenever he does something stupid. We all know he thrives off of Roaracles cheers/reactions so would he still play at his best? Or would he be affected by it? It's going to be real interesting opening night... What happens on that night could affect the teams chemistry. I attached a poll to see how you guys are going to cheer for him.

Poll
How will you cheer for captain Jack?
Cheer for him even though he gave up on our beloved team
97 votes
Boo him for being a trader after we gave him his money
211 votes
Do nothing because I still have respect for him

So the most hated blogger of all time is at it again. Poor old Tim has outdone himself again and knows that he'll get his hits if he blogs about the most controversial subject the fans have been discussing lately. Here is what was posted on ESPN insider rumors.

Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News thinks Monta Ellis could be traded to the Dallas Mavericks if they would send short-term deals back and if the Warriors would be happy taking a major talent hit just to dump Ellis' contract, which has 5 years and $55M remaining.

Kawakami writes, "For all the energy the Warriors have placed in telling us that Monta is their centerpiece and all the sweat issued to dispute my reports that he's unhappy ... well, I could very much see Don Nelson working hard to trade Ellis."

I know it's old but I feel like I haven't been getting an adequate GSOM fix lately so I had to search for things on my own and came across this... Maybe someday this footage will be part of a HOF video ;)
