Bolts From The Blue Vincent Jackson breaks his silence

Vincent Jackson is having a 1 on 1 sit down with Jason La Confora on NFL Network. He will finally speak! On the clip they showed he said he could imagine wearing a chargers uniform again. We'll see I guess. I'm looking forward to watching that interview. Don't they all say they want to stay with the team? I know a lot of us gave up on him but I'm still hoping for the best. What do you guys think?

Bolts From The Blue Rivers To Talk V.J Publicly

It is said that your friend and mine Phillip Rivers is going to be a guest on NFL network's NFL total access @ 4pm pacific time. He will be talking off-season, training camp and asked if he reached out to VJAX or what his thoughts are about the contract situation. Usually guests on total access stay most of the 1hr show and talk the team.

So I'm kinda excited to see what his thoughts are, and if he reached out to VJAX  at all. I know a lot of you have mixed emotions if he should even get involved. If you ask me I don't think it would hurt for him to at least give him a call and say, "hey big guy, we need you, I need you". Then maybe he could come in, sign, and say "hey I did it for my team, I did it because Phillip asked" So maybe he could salvage his pride and not make it like he lost in this contract battle. I'm sure it doesn't really go down like that but it doesn't hurt to have an open imagination, does it? I know Mcnabb reached out to Haynsworth his first week as a Redskin, so it does happen. But obviously doesn't always work. But Albert's a douche bag and thats a whole other story that I don't care about.

I mean everyone knows it's not gonna help him to sign a major contract with us or another team if he sits out most or all of the 2010 season. Put up big numbers this year and plead your case next year that you were a sport and a team player that improves every year and then ask them all to show you the money! That's just my crazy opinion, what's yours? And who's gonna watch Total access Tomorrow?

What do you guys think? Who impressed you? Who didn't? I watched the combine on live stream and all I know is I'm loving Jahvid Best more and more. His durability worried me at first and I wasn't sure if he was worth our late 1rst round pick but I think I'm starting to change my mind and think he's worth the risk. If not for durability he may be more valuable than C.J Spiller to me(I dunno Maybe!) It would be nice if  Mathews fell to us in the 2nd(not likely, wishful thinking)or some how Gerhart fell to us in the 4th. Both their speed for their size is awesome. McCluster surprised me with his slower than expected 40 time but he is still game fast and is a receiving machine, some teams are thinking about drafting him for slot receiver, he would be a pretty good Sproles replacement. Sproles 40 time wasn't the best but his game speed is great. Dweyer's acceleration and cutting ability didn't impress me like Mathews did, I was kinda tossed up between the two guys but now I would take Mathews instead. Plus Mathews seams like a better pass catcher. There could be a lot of good steals in the draft this year for running backs between the 4th and later rounds, Blount, Dixon, Tate, Hardesty, and Gerhart.  I know the combine doesn't prove much but its fun to speculate. Your thought on the combine results?

Bolts From The Blue Chargers could have 5 1rst round picks and 5 3rd round picks

Kevin Acee reported today that the Chargers are putting the highest tenders on four of their players. Jackson, McNeill, Floyd, and Merriman. 1rst and 3rd round picks would be given in return to the Chargers if a team offers them a contract and Chargers do not match. Now I know the odds of all them getting signed by other teams are slim and none but I thought it was funny that Pro football talk posted that it could happen. What if 2 out of 5 are gone? What if 3 out of 5? Would that mean we are totally rebuilding? Imagine how important this draft would be? What if we lose McNeill and Jackson, who do we draft considering we would have three 1rst and 3rd round picks, would be very interesting. Then do we go after maybe a Dez Bryant in the 1rst or Golden Tate later in the draft? Who would we get in the draft to replace McNiell? Who do you guys think are worth getting rid of for those draft compensations. I'm thinking 1 of our WR's may be gone. Lets say Floyd because of the cost factor for other teams are cheap and he gets better every year, could be a solid #1 receiver for some teams. Or maybe the chargers are willing to let Vincent Jackson or Merriman go because they are expecting to get huge contracts and we may not be willing to put up the money. All the four guys are all good players to put those tenders on because the money due this year is not that high and the chargers would only have to pay them 110% of what they are expected to make for 1 year which is not very high, another reason why some teams would be attracted to these guys because they will have them relatively cheap for a year. I'm sure Vincent Jackson wants Greg Jennings or Roddy White type money when the time comes and I fear chargers wont pay, then we get no picks for him. Same case for Merriman because of their high profile names and because they have proven their potential. What scenarios would you guys think is acceptable for you. Which rookies would be good replacement? I would love to see some of your scenarios or your opinions!

Bolts From The Blue Trading Cromartie, getting steals in the draft

If you haven't already you tubed Dexter Mccluster and Toby gerhart do so asap. Rumors are going around about trading Cromartie for someone like Tashard choice or another Rb from a team that has a 3 headed monster but if you follow what A.J Smith does he will go after young talent, and try to get them cheap. He usually will surprise you with his first round pick and this year I think its going to be Jamal Williams replacement. There is a lot of talent in the draft for DT but they will most likely be gone in the first round but if the chargers get a 2nd round pick for Cromartie they could use one of the 2nd round picks or even both to get McCluster and Gerhart if not a 2nd and a 3rd and use the other 2nd round pick on depth at CB after trading Cromartie. Sources say they may go after 2 RB's in this years draft. If you like Smash and Dash style backfield you will love McCluster and Gerhart. Most mock drafts have us taking Javid best which is a good back but has had 3 major injuries in his college career and I don't see A.J going after someone that risky. C.J Spiller would never fall to us so this is my early opinion. Please comment and let me know what you guys think!

Bolts From The Blue Tila Tequila Made #chargerssuck a Trendic Topic

Tila tequila has spent the last 10 hrs talking trash about the chargers on her twitter account. She made people reply her tweets to #chargerssuck. The true story came out on the news and profootballtalk.com put an article out on it(check it out)! She is as trashy and skanky as they come and is 100% out to get attention. If you guys get a chance look at her twitter account, its a good laugh, then check out the article in profootballtalk, Girl ran out of the house naked; thats why he was trying to stop her. She is puting out a bunch of stuff she should not be saying, lies, then she erases them. And they say merriman is loosing his credibility to fans! Am i the only one really really pist about this

Bolts From The Blue Cromartie Twitter & U-Stream

Ever since cromartie got fined $2,500 for calling chargers training camp food nasty he's become a lot more popular on twitter. He gave away tickets today on a twitter trivia game and also looked like he did a usteam bit for a little bit but I missed it. Chad Ochocinco has been doing ustream frequently and I must admit I was'nt really a fan but that is straight comedy when he does it and he loves his fans. I hope cromartie gets into it like he (ochocinco) does. It would be great to interact with cromartie like that and see him answer to fans chat posts and talk about charger players and stuff thats going on! Go Cromartie!!!
