Canal Street Chronicles Class Action

A group of Saints fan has setup this website for bounty-gate. I for one believe this debacle is blown way out of proportion and it smells of witch-hunt. But this Post is not to repeat what it has been discussed ad nausam over last week.

The point is these guys are fighting back, and they are asking for your support to do that. Those of you who think this is getting ridiculous please read the following:

As Fans, we must join together to build a large, united stance by sending a strong message to the NFL and Commissioner Goodell that if the Saints organization and its players are disciplined by imposing of suspensions, we will pursue a class action cause in Federal court.

Basically, they are going to sue the league a$$ if there are suspensions. SIGN ON GUYS. Oh... they wont ask you a dime.

I've got a great story for you to lead the draft weekend column. When Cal defensive end Cameron Jordan was taking a tour through his new business home -- the New Orleans Saints practice facility in Metairie, La. -- on Saturday, his cell phone rang.

"Hi,'' said the voice on the other end. "Jordan? This is the Cleveland Browns. We're getting ready to pick you ... ''

"Uh, yeah, this is Cameron Jordan,'' he said. "The Saints already picked me.''

There was an awkward pause, and Cameron Jordan said: "I think you mean Jordan Cameron, you're looking for Jordan Cameron. That's not me.''

Cameron Jordan, the 24th pick in the draft, then hung up the phone. And the Cleveland Browns, presumably, found the number for USC tight end Jordan Cameron, phoned him, and made him the 102nd pick in the draft.

Well, they're both from the Pac-10.

Canal Street Chronicles Writing is on the wall for.... Pierre?

OK... I-Mania is here to stay....  what happens next?

Is the writing is on the wall for Reggie.... it would look he wasnt that happy when he tweeted it has been fun in NOLA.... although one could argue his comments were taken out of context and were referred to the Hornets... or probably truth was somewhere in the middle....

That's a fact that paying three guys first round money is a strecth....  with Ivory also in the rotation.... and that if Reggie doesnt re-deal he is out of the building.... but what if he does.... that's no mistery Sean likes him.... not that one wouldnt expect otherwise but Coach repeated Reggie is part of their plans in his post draft comments...

Wouldn't it make sense to get him out of the backfield alltogether.... a kind of "hybrid" playing WR, third downs and on returning duties.... Not saying is gonna happen, but it could...

And what if the unexpected is going to happen instead.... Ingram and Pierre are very fungible. This is what Rick Reprish had to say in his post draft interview

he runs the way Pierre Thomas runs, a little bit faster and he’s a little heavier

Pierre is the only back with a trade value on the roster- he has just resigned at a fair and affordable level (for another team). What if they will try to trade him now there is clone in the building...

Who knows maybe to the same New England for a second round next year.... they already tried last autumn.....hell he could have even been part of a trade yesterday if the league was back in business in time....

The writing is on the wall... but for whom....???

It looks no better than a 6th or a 7th for Fujita.

Payton said WR Colston, DE Brown & LB Waters were full at practice today.

TEs Shockey & Thomas were limited. TE Graham, S Jenkins, LB Clark & DL Hargrove did not practice.

Canal Street Chronicles Glass overwhelmingly full

Just few numbers first. from last season (all averages)...

Rushing Offense: 131 yards per game, ranked 6th, 4.5 y/c

Drew Brees: 292 yards per game, ranked 6th, 34 attempts per game, 8.5 y/a

Now lets have a look at this year...

Rushing Offense: 94 yards per game, ranked 27th, 3.9 y/c

Drew Brees: 295 yards per game, ranked 2nd, 41 attempts per game, 7.1 y/a

Missed games this season:  Ivory (4), Bush (8), Thomas(9)...

*

It looks clear Sean has asked Drew to make up for the missing running-game due to all the injuries... he has thrown more and shorter... there have been some game-plans heavily skewed to the passing game, but the main reason I think it is the depleted backfield.

This is why the glass is OVERWHELMINGLY FULL going forward - healthy backfield and with hardly any treads on their tyres. Who can say the same of all the playoffs bound teams.... I also believe this may have been part of a specific strategy to keep fresh legs with a view of playing road/outdoor games over the next month.

Missing ingredient: committment to be balanced, and I think Sean wont disappoint...

Sky is the limit.... Stu please take notice... LOL

From FoxSports... Very interesting write-up by the Czar but the interesting part is that he says Ivory will suit up. Guy is usually right

"RB Chris Ivory is expected to play as well as Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas for the Saints"
