Unfortunately I missed out on the awesome fantasy baseball thread awhile back, so for anyone who's in the same boat I wanted to try this out. Last year I played in a super awesome 14 team pokemonz league with sabr-style stats instead of the usual R/RBI/BA fare. I really want to try it again this year, so here's the deets if anyone's interested
Categories: HR /TB /BB /SLG /OPS for hitters, and K /K-9 /WHIP /OBPA /IRA (better than Saves IMO) for pitchers
All the rest is pretty normal. It definitely changes the value of players quite a lot. Oh yeah, and I'd really like to do an auction too. It's on yahoo, ID 125247, password is pokemonz. Should be fun losing to me! har har

Yeah, he's not swearing because he's a 25 year old dude who's experiencing success at the highest level of his profession. EDIT: jhiat was the fastest ninja and has gotten the last invite. Still waiting on the last 2 to join, I've sent them invites again. We have to have the league full before we'll be able to draft so HURRY UP!
We have 13 who have accepted invitations and joined, and 2 who have been invited and haven't joined yet. We're thinking 16 total teams, so if those 2 join, we still have ONE SPOT LEFT! ORDER TODAY BEFORE SUPPLIES RUN OUT.

The wonderful time of late summer is upon us, that time when we start thinking about fantasy football. OK, I know that only applies to maybe .05% of the population here, but YOU'RE who I'm lookin at! We've started a league, we've got 9 invited and 8 have joined, so we have space for more people if anyone else is interested.

OT: Car Questions

Sorry to do this, since I know it's a baseball furom and whatnot, but I respect to opinons of...well, many of the posters here on such matters. Either that or I'm desperate, one of the two.
Anyways, I'm getting a new car and there's a pretty nice 98 Jetta GLX VR6 at a local place here, only 93K miles on it. Has anyone here had any experience with 90s v dubs or specifically VR6s? All the info I can find says that they are grrreeat engines that maybe don't get the best mileage and that the cost to maintain them is a little higher than on a more "normal" vehicle.
Basically I'm looking for horror stories, if you have any. I've found plenty of positives from my internerd search, but I'd like to know if there's anything lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce. I inspected it myself pretty good and other than some minor body issues, the mechanical parts look to be in very good order.
OK, so you can now commence to share your stories or threadjack the post with LOLcat pics...I'm 50/50 on what I'm expecting the thread to look like..any help would be much appreciated

why nobody seems to have mentioned Milton Bradley as a possibility for the Giants? I won't admit to knowing much, but it seems like he'd add the desperately needed bat.Would he be completely non-functional trying to play 1B? Would he just not want to? Is he a total prick and thus kryptonite to everyone? Is he asking for too much money? Injury concerns?
It just seems sort of weird that everyone's talking about Manny, when Bradley plays the same position, fills the same need, is the same sort of character risk, and would cost a lot less money. Now, someone comment and tell me the totally obvious reason I'm totally missing as to why he's a stupid idea, please.
