Visitor from Austin, TX

Hey all,

I'm  a senior at the University of Texas at Austin who is planning to spend my Thanksgiving and Christmas at Columbus, OH. With that said, exactly what is there to do in Columbus? I understand this is the wrong place to post this type of entry but I am quite desperate.

The idea of being locked inside my parents' house for 4 weeks sound quite hellish to me. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I wanted Bama to win...

There is 2:24 left on the clock during the 4th quarter and Alabama 20- Florida 31. It seems quite certain that Florida will advance to the MNC.

Dammit, now who are we supposed to root for now?

OU vs. Florida has me queezy.

I already once rooted for OU during the OU vs. TTech, so I don't think I can root for OU once more for my dignity's sake. As for Florida, these guys have had 2 back-to-back basketball NC's and 1 football NC AND pretty much another one in line. This all within a span of 4 years. So now, I must make a painful decision of choosing between a default winner and hearing more shit about the supremacy of the SEC.

Seriously, who do I root for in this scenario?

Does my hate for Stoops and OU supercede my disdain for the SEC or does my disdain for the SEC supercede my hate for Stoops and OU?

I don't know. I just don't know....

Who would you guys root for an why? help a brotha out.

It would be nice if this scenario was avoided entirely by a miracle in Kansas City tonight.

MIZZZZZOUUUUUUU, COMEEEEEE ONNNNNN. DO US A FAVOR FOR ONCE

BOOMER SOONER!!

*Cough* *cough* *cough* BARF

Wow, Sooners really look ridiculous. I wonder how we ever beat them at the RR Rivalry game. Anyhow, I'm pleased to see TTech get its ass pummeled AND salad tossed.

So now, maybe the stars will align and lead us to the Big 12 Championship.

Hypothetically speaking, who'd win between Texas and Florida?

Though it's rather too early to hypothesize, I just couldn't harness the possibility that we could face Florida at a BCS bowl.

And if we were to face them, though I'd like think it'd go down as one of the most storied games in the college football, I can't help myself but think that (dare I say it) we'll get raped like OU against WVU.

    What do you guys think?

With the way we've played the past 2 games, I'm starting to doubt our defense and don't see them being able to contain gator speed-demons like Demps, Harvin, and Rainey.

I know it's blasphemous to say thus especially on BurntOrangeNation, but I just can't purge these horrifying scenarios out of my head.

    Any thoughts? or other comments?

Counterexamples or seamless rebuttals would be greatly appreciated.

    Good day.

    Pete

I don't know what bothers me more.

We got our asses handed us tonight. Our defense crumbled from fatigue and there were numerous penalties and mistakes (critical drops and etc) that sealed our fate in Lubbock, Texas.

Yet I don't know what bothers me more: The fact that we came back and almost won until Gideon dropped a featherball or the fact that we played like sh*t while Tech brought their A-game.Granted we played poorly and that mistake alone was not the sole determinate of our loss, I'm distraught by the very fact that it was dropped--  because it ended our streak.

Yes, I know Gideon is a freshman safety and was solid all-through-out the year, but I must say I'm not a big fan of him or Collins at the moment. And it shall be so just for the next 24 hours.

I really, really wanted to see those jokers cry themselves to sleep. Alas, not this year; that duty will be left to OU and OSU. Though it disgusts me to say but I'll be rooting for them from here on out.

Oh well, at worst we'll have a solid BCS bid and a great run next year from the mistakes we learned this year. I suppose this is a bit like what the Patriots, USC , and Michigan endured in the past. In any case, I'm extremely proud of our overachieving young team despite the lack of respect from the media.

    Hook 'Em

We shall have our way next season.
