I feel numb.  It's like I'm so desensitized to the physical pain that this team brings me that all I'm left with is the emotional damage.

This one really hurts.... the time and energy that I've spent on this team.  The time spent on the internet, the fanposts on websites, the boxscores in the paper.  Defending the Cubs on how this team is different, how the curse doesn't exist an is just an excuse, how this team is really good and it is time to win.  Time to win not because of the 100 years of losing but because this team is talented and special.  All the late night phone calls to my dad telling him that this team is going to win and asking him to believe with me despite all the misery and pain he has experienced as a lifetime fan. I don't know if  I can do this any more, I really don't.
