Portland Wins 24th Pick in the 2014 Draft

Portland won tie-breakers against Heat and Houston through coin flip and will pick 24th in the first round of the 2015 draft.

Graph of Average Distance of FGA/ FGA per game

for every player with minimum 100 FGA. Something cool to look at. Found it on RealGM. View whole image for better view.

Jarrett Jack's similarity to McCollum

2

Jarrett Jack had a brilliant game against the Knicks tonight. Watch him score the way he does and tell me you can't picture CJ doing the same things in the future.

Patty Mills Goes Off in the Clutch Vs Wizards.

Patty Mills came up big in a 2OT win. 23 pts

Robin Lopez, 7th Best Rim Protecting Big man**

4

**Minimum 25 MPG **Minimum 25 games played **Minimum 6 Opponent FGA at rim per game. Lopez has 7th best FG% on defense at the rim at 44.4%. What makes this even more impressive is that he has to contest the most amount of shots than anyone else in the top 15 at 10.5 FGA at the rim per game. He is defending a large bulk of high % shots at the rim very efficiently. ***LMA is ranked 20th with 49.4% (surprisingly one spot below David Lee) ***Kevin Love is DEAD LAST in the rankings conceding 58.8% FG at the rim at a significant 8.8 attempts per game.

Bledsoe Has Knee Surgery. Out Indefinitely

Believed to be a meniscus problem. Affects playoff seeding.

JR Smith is a UFA

1

Declined option with the Knicks and is now a UFA. What do you think? He would demand atleast as much as Wesley Matthews. You think we would want to move Matthews for JR Smith somehow? He is only 27 years old still. He is pretty effective off the dribble as well as long range shooting. Is a clutch shooter (2 buzzer game winners last year). Idk about his defensive chops but he is kinda intriguing. I know he is kinda weird mentally but intriguing nonetheless

Wow. This Drummond guy really does have a HUGE potential. So much body control and explosiveness along with being coordinated. Im not wishing we had him instead of Lillard but im just admiring what I see in this video. Check it out.

This guy can be a jolt of lightning on offense sometimes

Release Babbitt, Sign Adam Morrison

28

I feel bad for the guy. He definitely has more talent than Babbitt. People hate on him for no reason. He is a quite and awkward guy so he is easy to pick on but he got game....at-least good enough to be on the bench and contribute. Summer League 20PPG 55% FG ... not bad...definitely has skill

Is there a way I can find out about the specific injury Fernandez and Steve Nash have had? I would like to know if there is somewhere where they keep track of specific player injuries that can be looked at by us. I want to know about their back problems specifically.

Maybe the laws dont allow that much disclosure but just a question.

Jerryd Bayless is now a UFA

Off the bench PG/SG. Anyone? Anyone? lol

Stern Working to Adopt FIBA goaltending rules, Flopping penalities

13

"Stern’s new committee is expected to work on two major rules changes right away: Adopting the international rule for goaltending, meaning that balls could be legally knocked off the rim or backboard that now would result in a basket; and penalizing "floppers." Stern has talked to GMs in the past about changing the goaltending rule, but never got anywhere. But now he’ll have a more receptive group to consider what would be a dramatic change in the defensive rules. "I think it’s time to look at (flopping) in a more serious way, because it’s only designed to fool the referee," Stern told ABC during Game 1 of the Heat-Pacers semifinal series. "It’s not a legitimate play in my judgment. I recognize if there’s contact (you) move a little bit, but some of this is acting. We should give out Oscars rather than MVP trophies." Perhaps Stern should have the people in charge of officiating teach the refs what a flop is. He was never able to convince the 30 general managers that there had to be a crackdown on the practice, with accompanying penalties. "Some years ago I told the competition committee that we were going to start fining people for flopping, and then suspending," he said. "And I think they almost threw me out of the room, (saying), ‘No, let it be.’" Now, Stern has, in effect, thrown the GMs out of the room, while installing his new committee in to carry out his agenda." ------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you think this new rule change is to increase the value of Big men in the league? Because we know the game favors guards more these days so now being really tall with a long wingspan makes you automatically more valuable because of this new goal tending rule.

We should throw money at Harden instead of Batum. Seriously....IDK how much this has been mentioned...

We should throw money at Harden instead of Batum. Seriously....IDK how much this has been mentioned or how plausible it is...but Harden is definitely an ELITE guard in the NBA....He is what our team lacks and desperately needs too...A ball handler who can create his own and for others and do so very efficiently...

He is what our team lacks and desperately needs.

23

Is there some special shoes that can be made for Camby's high risk ankles...? At this point it should be a given that his ankles are only a matter of when not if they will roll and get injured. His support system in his ankles has worn out and over stretched from all the years of injury. You know how they got Stephen Curry with some special shoes maybe they can get Camby some special ones to reduce him rolling his ankles in the future.
