Pre-Snap Read: Ole Miss
Solid preseason analysis. It doesn't paint a pretty picture but it's comprehensive and fair.
Ole Miss is Raylan Givens' SEC Campus of Choice
This was mentioned in the Sean Tuohy for AD? comment section, but here's the video. During last night's episode of Justified - pretty much the best show on tv - Ole Miss and its wimmens got a very nice name drop from the main character, Raylan Givens. Hotty Toddy.

No Joke - Craig James is Running for U.S. Senate
I know this isn't Ole Miss related, but I think it bears sharing. A lot of you have probably heard already. Former SMU (I Didn't Do Nuthin') football player, ultra-protective football daddy and resident ESPN douchenozzle Craig James is running for the U.S. Senate in the state of Texas. Outstanding.
Hotels in Athens
Jawja Fans,
First, congrats on clinching the SEC East title this year. Now on to business. Next year the Rebels will be traveling to Athens. Every year, a group of my buddies from Ole Miss and I take a trip to an away game. Just under a year from now we're going to make the journey to Athens. I've got a personal goal to see a game in every SEC town. I've seen games in Oxford, Nashville, Knoxville and Columbia, MO (pre-SEC, obviously). The SEC town I've most wanted to visit, though, is Athens. I've heard only good things about your fair hamlet.
Anyway, the point of this fan post is to ask those of you with knowledge of Athens to suggest accomodations. Preferably we'd like to stay near the bar scene, or the equivalent of the Square in Oxford. I don't know where that is though, so I don't know what hotels to look at. This may seem early, but if Athens is anything like Oxford I'd imagine that hotel rooms get snatched up pretty quickly.
We're really looking forward to rolling into Georgia next year and hopefully being competitive with a new coach (please be Mike Leach). Can't wait to tailgate in Athens and see a game in Sanford Stadium. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and Hotty Toddy.

College GameDay look at Tailgating
I was at a conference last weekend and had to miss GameDay, so I just found this. Most of y'all have probably seen it, but for those like me, here ya go. No surprise that LSU (I may not like who you support, but I will defend to the death your right to cook me food from southern Louisiana) and Ole Miss are the featured schools.

You stay classy, Mississippi State.
"Aw damn, I messed it up. Should I make another sign?"

One Steer to Rule Them All
I hate Arkansas and their fans, but I love college football and Lord of the Rings. And this is fantastic.
Georgia's New Nike Pro Combat Uniforms
This is what Georgia will be wearing in the Chick-fil-A College Kickoff against Boise State.
Please, Ole Miss Powers-That-Be, never do this to us.

New Rules Announced for Groving
Nothing earth shattering. Gameday Committee annouces a few new rules for tailgating in 2010. Personally I'm against the no overnight parking, because I'm selfish and it makes things alot easier on me and mine.
Also, you can now text a number while in the stadium to file a complaint (even against smoking) during games. Give'r a click.
