TEX TO DODGERS???

Just throwin this out their but this does make since if, IF we fall out of the race.  I think the Dodgers have the best prospects or young ready players playing right now.  Plus the Dodgers are looking for a power bat!

All fans would ask for Kershaw if they were GM but we know that we wouldn't get him!  So this is what i thought of the top of my head.  We receive Matt Kemp, James Loney and Johnathan Broxton!  Kemp can be a 30-30 guy and he'll get that many steals this year i think!  Yes we have lots of OF'ers now but right now its lookin like no one has a job lock down for next year.  Not even Frenchy.  Plus he adds to the young guys Loney replaces Tex.  Broxton gives us a young arm that could be our future closer.  Maybe we could get 1 more but i don't know.

And if we tried for Kershaw i think we would have to give up atleast lillebridge to even start talking about him.  What do you guys think???  Oh, and do the Braves have any interest in Micheal Inoa?  He's only 16 but i read he's equivealent of being a 1st round pick.  A's are the top contender if im not mistaken?

Oswalt's Future

Roy Oswalt has a full no trade clause and he said he would wave it if the Astros approached him about a trade which hasn't happened.  But the 3 teams he would only wave it for would be the Cardinals, BRAVES, and the Bo Soxs.  Off the top of my head why he picked these places are great managers, winning teams well maybe not the Cards.

Oswalt is relatively really cheap.  But would Ed Wade consider trading Oswalt after he made Key accquistions which include the likes of  Valverde, Tejada, and Bourn?  And it doesn't take probably more than 85 wins to win the Division or maybe not even 85.

Do you think Wren would do this after the Braves so called emptied their farm system for Teixara?  Would you do it?

What would the Braves have to give up for Oswalt?   The Astos have solid Outfielders so thier probably want pitching the most.  They would ask  about  Jurriens, James,  Rourbough, Morton, Hanson, HOPEFULLY REYES, maybe Locke or  Cordier.  Other players besides pitchers that would be asked about and included or center the trade around are Lillebridge, Schafer, Jones, Heyward, Johnson, Hernandez and others.

Delgado's Comments

I found this on ESPN!  Delgado stated that they were the best team last year.  They won just as many games as the Phillies in the playoffs and thats not saying a whole lot.  What do you guys think?  I think he shouldn't be talking b/c he had a poor season.  I also hate how everyone flippin mets fan said Glavine choked the final game.

Kazmir

Just read an article on MLBTR that Scott Kazmir and the Rays can't agree on a contract extensions.  I don't think they would stop talking about his contract though.  He would definitly be our 3 starter and maybe our future ace.  Many teams will definitley show interest and we better be one of them.  Teams could go after him more than Johan b/c of age, asking price and more.  What do you think would take too get him?  Hey we could rub it, I mean RUB IT in the Mets faces.

Kevin Millwood

He's 32 and locked up until 2010.  Yes his stats have gone down but he still has it or somewhat.
In 03 posted a 4.01 ERA with 222 ing and a 6.85 k/9.  In 04 playing Citizens bank ballpark he posted a 4.85 ERA had 141 ing and 7.88 K/9.  His ERA was cause playing one of the best hitting parks.  In 05 in CLE he posted a 2.86 had 192 ing and a 6.84 ERA.  In 06 now with TEX and hitting ballpark he posted a 4.52 ERA pitched 215 ing. and had a 6.57 k/9.  Now in 07 with TEX he posted a 5.16 ERA pitched 172 ing and had a 6.41 k/9.  One thing that scares me about 07 was his 11/H a game.  His K/9 came down since coming to the AL but they would increase moving back to the NL.  His ERA are bad b/c of playing in bad pitching parks.  In 08 he's owed 8.5, 09/ 11, 10/ 12.  He's not young what we are lookin for but its worth looking at.  We could always trade for him at the All-star break and if we don't get CF we could ask for Bradely if Anderson doesn't play well.
