Ben Olson HURT!!!
Olson hurt
By Brian Dohn on August 9, 2008 7:30 PM | Permalink | Comments (4) | ShareThis
UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel said quarterback Ben Olson re-injured his surgically-repaired foot during a non-contact drill midway through practice. Olson is undergoing x-rays, and could have an MRI on Sunday.
Neuheisel said it was on the same play Olson broke the fifth metatarsal in his foot in the spring.
The extent of the injury is not yet known, but Olson was carted off the field.
Kevin Craft took the snaps with the first team, and Kevin Prince and Chris Foricer had second-team reps. In fact, Forcier looked sharp late in the practice and continued to get snaps.
HORRIBLE NEWS.

EARLY mock draft...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2008/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&page=MockDraft-080520
waaaaayyyyyy too early, i know. still, with the lottery order being set today, it gives kind of a clearer picture where our former bruins will end up in the next level. chad ford has westbrook going 7 to the clippers which i think will be awesome for us who live in la. besides, i think he'll be a great fit with livingston's career shaky at best and can play the 2 if livingston turns out ok and put thornton at the 3.
they have love going to the bobcats to play for former ucla coach larry brown. im not sure that's a great fit for love. they already have okafor, mohammed, sean may (who has a similar body to love)...but if they dont grab him, i cannot see the nets passing him up...i think indy (who are at 11) or the nets would be better fits.
just some thoughts. but hey, maybe the lakers can pull a rabbit out of the hat and grab one of them...hey, it's just a thought....

Memphis' win over UCLA is no surprise to Kansas' Rush
SAN ANTONIO -- It's Kansas against Memphis for the NCAA title on Monday, and Kansas players said they weren't surprised.
"I definitely expected this matchup because Memphis is a great school," guard Brandon Rush said. "They've got a great team. They get up and down the floor like North Carolina does and we do. Yeah, I definitely expected this, big-time."

Taylor King to Transfer
DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke freshman forward Taylor King has decided to transfer.
King, a 6-foot-6 native of Huntington Beach, Calif., saw action in all 34 games in 2007-08, averaging 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. He had two 20-point games, including 27 points against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 25, 2007.
Coach Mike Krzyzewski said Monday that King has "the ability to be a good player," adding that he supported King's decision to transfer.
Duke did not say where King would transfer.
