Hi, my name is Brian. I’m 31, and a 3rd generation Giants fan who was raised in central NJ. Before moving back to the area in the fall of 2006, I spent the previous 7 years living in Texas and Oklahoma while in the Army. I started reading your blog that fall, and have been checking every day since. Living in the Midwest kept me from watching the Giants more than a handful of times each year, but allowed me to see a lot of other teams. I would get 5 games on Sunday afternoons – 3 early games and 2 late games. Add in Sunday and Monday nights, and I was watching 14 teams play every week. That’s a lot of football, and it gave me a slightly different perspective than many folks in Giants country who are limited to 2 Sunday games.
Right now, I'm in Iraq with the NJ National Guard. Luckily for me, I've been able to watch 9 of their 11 games on the Armed Forces Network. Unfortunately, there's an 8 hour time difference between the east coast and Baghdad, so the 1pm games come on at 9pm, the 4pm games at midnight, and Sunday / Monday night games are really Monday / Tuesday morning games at 430am. Needless to say, Mondays have been a bit of a drag. However, its well worth it when they win.
