      News here in philly Dawkins will be a free agent  !

      What do you guys think of signing him to a one year contract to help out  untill

     a long term solution is reached .  Think about having champ bailey  and dawkins

     roaming the same backfield  together !    Both could mentor whoever saftey the

     broncos draft untill he is ready to play .   plus dawkins is a proven leader and

    inspires  the whole defense to play hard  like  Ray Lewis does for baltimore

     With bailey  shutting down  his side of the field  Dawkins will be free to roam

   the middle and help out on DRE Blys  side of the field  The way i see it  he cant

   be worse than the players we are planning to field next season !  Actually he

 would be a major upgrade                 Any thoughts ?

    THE NO NAME DEFENSE !.......

  They were named a long long time ago  !  The recent fan post about the

    orange crush defense got me wondering   Why didnt anybody  come up with

   some new  names  lately ?   I dont think its because people lost there creative

   thinking  do you ?    Mabey its some defenses didnt have the longevity to stay

     together as a power house unit ?  Dont know ?   Some defenses were great

      but were never named  The NY Giants D that beat the broncos in the 1986 SB.

   They got a SB ring but never got a name !       The  49ers .. 1980s D also got

  mutiple rings .no names here either !     dallas cowboys nothing !   oakland raiders

 1990s Buffalo bills SB teams      washington redskins    Recent history teams

  Baltimore ravens superbowl winning team  Tampa bays SB team were dam good

  Yet they never got the notority of getting that everlasting nickname to be proud of !

The broncos are on the short list of teams to earn  a name !   How did they do that ?

 The ORANGE CRUSH   Defense  as great as they were for the short time spent

 together never won a superbowl  But will be revered in the minds of all fans

    whenever the subject of historical defenses arises.    Our broncos SB team

  from the late 1990s probably can live off of the proudness of the orange crushes

  achievements 20 years before them  Why ? because they were so special enough

   to earn the name ! So now i ask all of you  whats the criteria for a great defense

  to  earn  that  aweinspiring  nickname that will last throught the ages ?

  Are there any teams today that you guys like that should deserve a nickname?

  put it out there !  type them into the replys after reading this post have fun .

   If baltimore ravens win this years SB should there Defense be named ?

  I tried to think of some snappy clever names for them  but  seem to draw a blank

  I must say its quite hard to invent something so good that it will last the test of

 time !                                          Mabye no defenses In todays NFL deserves a name !

                            But i am sure pruod that we have the ORANGE CRUSH  !

     Hi everyone

                   just sitting here reading posts and the bad news about peyton hillis.

               everyone seems to be caught  up  in the hillis news and what to do

              at  running back  now  and  what  our playoff chances will be   Etc....

              But  what  is getting lost in all of this is the broncos might be on verge

        of kicking  problems . And It Is happening  at the  worst possible time.

       Did anyone notice A kicker in  A slump. ?pratter started out great but what

       is wrong now .? He Is missing kicks regulary ;And the kickoffs are getting

      shorter  and shorter .  This is the time we will need every possible points

   and edge in every game here on out because the weather nationally will

   be getting worse especially  on the east coast ( buffalo bills) Game soon

    And the real problem here is that pratter is all the broncos have .there

  Is no backup to come in and save the day at this position .right ? The broncos

  have to get this guy right in a hurry . Did anyone see any TV interviews talking

 to pratter about his problems or confidence issues? Am  i over reacting or

  is this  a legit   problem  with him  ?

                                    Any thoughts on whats happening with him ?

   Hello everyone .

       Here  is a  treat  brought  to you tonite  by the NFL NETWORK   called 

      NFL rewind   at  8;00 EST  tonite they are going to show a reairing of

       the denver broncos  Vs  the  atlanta  falcons  . What makes this cool  is

        now  the stats guys can watch again and focus on players a second time

      to watch developement  or negetave  things  you might have seen the

      first time on sunday  .   hope  all  the  people  that can  watch  enjoy  again.

     hello everyone

        I  just finished  up watching this weeks installment  of playbook  AFC   on  the

        NFL  network  .  The subject on the broncos tonight was the denver broncos

        kicking game  featureing  K matt prater  and  P  brett kern  .   I almost fell out of

        my chair  when  two people who forever  seemed to hate the broncos  sterling

        sharpe   and  brian  baldinger  were in agreement  on the broncos winning the

       game this week against  the jags .  They both raved about the special teams

       edge  going to the broncos  because of praters  long  FGS  and deep kickoffs

        along with brett kern  pinning the oppisition  back deep into its own territory

         and the strategy that goes into playing the field position game.  To get these

       guys to say something nice about the broncos  is like pulling the sword from

       the stone .  mabey this kind of good vibes  comming from former nay sayers

         could keep this train rolling at full speed   .        Any thoughts ?

Today  I  was  reading  stories about what some players on the broncos defense will do and what they will not do.  Let me tell you I saw  a short excerpt  on the NFL network today that featured coach Sean payton's break down on how to attack an  opposing defense .   he came off  very calm  and  knowledgeable  on what schemes  he would choose  to employ against opposing defenses . IT included  pulling guards on screen plays . tight end  pick  blocks  on  short pass plays mostly domestic  coaching  plays . but the way he explained  on how he would have attacked   A  specific  defense on a given situation really lays credence  to his attack the defense  thoroughly leave no stones unturned mentality.     In the clip  he showed he had a counter attack  for virtually  every defensive front  thrown at him kind of like coach Shanahan  We should  be in for one hell of a shoot out  again this week .                     

I  sure to god hope  not !

the broncos defense  cannot let  the saints beat them over the middle of the field  over and over in short passes and screens like last sunday.   i sure hope the broncos brain trust are game plaining for  Tight end  jermey  shockey just as well as reggie bush.  shockey is a big target with great hands, speed and toughness after the catch that can still be very dangerous to exploit a weak  to a mid -Level  talented  defense..   any   thoughts  on  this  ?
