Christmas Dissapointments
Has anyone else noticed that every year the Vikings lose an important game before, or on Christmas day. They have lost their last six.
2004-Lose to the Packers on Christmas Eve in a game that decides the NFC North.
2005-Lose to a Ravens team on Christmas night that had nothing to play for, meanwhile it knocked the Vikings out of playoff contention.
2006-Lose to the Packers on Thursday Night in a game that knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs. Had the Vikings won all they would've had to do was beat the Rams to secure a spot.
2007-Lose to the Redskins in a game that sent the winner to the playoffs, and the loser home.
2008-Lose to the Falcons when the Vikings could have clinched their first division title since 2000.
2009-Lose to the 5-8 Panthers throwing out all chance of home field and bringing the Eagles right back into contention for a first round bye. We all know that with Brett with at QB no bye means bye bye.
Can't we get a truly merry Christmas for once?

Nationals Park Gets No Love
Nationals Park gets no respect from the so called "ballpark experts." Sporting News recently came out with their new ballpark rankings. Nationals Park is ranked 23rd. 23rd!. Personally after attending many games at the park, I think it is a great one.
Everybody loves Camden Yards, as they should its a terrific ballpark, that being said I still believe that Nationals park is comparable. Which is why I think it is insane that Camden yards is top 5 and Nationals park is bottom 8. I understand that I am partially bias, but I would have taken even in the top half of the league. But 23rd, I just don't understand that. Great food, good location, great sightlines. The lack of a good team should not take away from the beautiful ballpark.

Answers to Questions About Nationals Park
1. The five dollar seats are the best bargain in baseball. They are only sold on game days so be sure to be at the ball park a good half hour early because the 5 dollar seats will sell out.
2. I believe on wensdays if you bring the front page of the Washington Post you will get 5 dollars off any seat priced 24$ or more.
3. Not a lot of options because the area is still under development.
4. Section 312 will be the best seats for an out of towner because it is above home plate with good views and it has a fantastic view of the capitol for only about 25$.
5. Best thing to do would be to get off at the smithsonian metro stop walk around and see what there is to see, then hop back on and go to the game.
6. Metro will be the best way to get to the game
7. Best option would have to be the bens halfsmoke all the way although they have many good options. Kielbasas from senator’s sausages are very good. Red Hot and Blue and Hard times are good aswell. If you want a burger the only real choice is Five Guys located behind the scoreboard
Curley W pretzels are at some nats dogs around the park but the main Noahs pretzels is in left field.
Avoid steak of the union, at least until they improve it. If you want a cheesesteak go to taste of the majors.
also avoid the “nats dog” they have good hot dogs but you have to get the 1/4 pound hebrew national.
8. I havent noticed the bathrooms being too crowded
9. a decent amount of fans will leave early but that doesnt help the trains be less crowded. If your not a fan of crowded trains there are shuttles at the other entrance to navy yard to union station, eastern market, and a couple of other stops. These are usually only faster if the green line is only operating on one track like it was last weekend
10. i believe in the 5 year plan
