I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that we will continue to have sideline floor seating for students at men's basketball games when Pauley Pavilion reopens for the 2012-13 season. You will occupy the floor level seats along the south sideline and floor level seats behind the west basket, which was originally announced in the summer of 2009, in addition to upper level seats behind the west basket.

There is a little over two weeks remaining before National Signing Day and we still don't know who our DC, OC, and WR coaches will be. As of today, Chuck Bullough and Reggie Moore were fired exactly one month ago. I just wanted to point that out. This team has been on a downhill slide since the Oregon State win.
Even if CRN makes great hires, is this an acceptable situation for UCLA football?

I had to LOL at this. The guy predicted Texas to win 34-10. He was actually very close, but for the wrong team.
Willis Reportedly Transferring to UCLA
Apparently Willis told rivals.com that he was choosing UCLA. I'm not sure if this has been confirmed yet though.

Randy Cross is a member of the 2010 College Football Hall of Fame class. He helped lead the Bruins to victory over top-ranked Ohio State in the 1976 Rose Bowl.

A recent post by CafeLA has inspired me to begin a new feature here on BN about UCLA and college sports history. Each edition, I will dig up an interesting article from the Google News archives as a kind of "blast from the past". I think it is important that we know more about UCLA and college sports history, and these old newspaper articles are an excellent tool to aid us in that quest. I hope that some members here will have much to say about the topics we look at from week to week.
The Division I College Football Playoff (aka December Derangement).
Sounds nice doesn't it? On the heels of another thrilling Final Four I began to wonder--"wait...why can't this happen in football?". Although a 96-team football tournament will never happen (that's almost all of Division I), there's no reason to assume that and eight or even four team playoff isn't feasible. There are countless articles written about better ways to find a champion. Division I-AA has a playoff system that has worked for decades. So that got me wondering... How long have Division I college football fans been clamoring for a playoff?
