Hartman doesnt get it

While we have all have read many post here concerning the blatant biased press and their hit jobs on U.C.L.A., my complaint is directed at the local sports talk. Since espn radio carries suc games, I understand them interviewing Cheaty Petey and various players constantly and very few U.C.L.A. players and coaches. However, 570 radio, which carries the Bruins games, has far fewer interviews with U.C.L.A. players and coaches, mostly with CRN. Being a stay home dad,I listen often to both stations. There have been comments here before, complaining about Hartman.

Today, Hartman and Meyers were talking about the worst and best pro teams and their fans. Hartman then commented on fans who support bad teams. He then said he saw a guy at the car wash "rocking a U.C.L.A. shirt, shorts and cap" he then said" why? doesn't he get it? doesn't he understand?" "They have lost 5 in a row!"

So, are we supposed to put away our gear and have it be our dirty little secret that we are bruins fans? I am sorry if this ran on, but that's just an example of what is put out there.  Thanks for listening.

espn to televise rose bowl

just read in the register that espn will televise the rose bowl in 2011. this now gives them the rights to all the major bowls. they also radio broadcast the suc games. is it really to much of a stretch to think of what influence they will now have on schedules, game times, bowl match ups and such? also, could they put pressure on the ncaa about sucs penalties concerning the probe of their football team?  espn would not want to lose a sure ratings bringer like the suck ass trojans. whoops, a little vent there. seriously, this does concern me. any thoughts?

UCLA Class

Bumped. GO BRUINS. -N

Just wanted to tell a quick story.

My 3 brothers and 3 sisters and I were all raised UCLA fans and suc haters. While none of us had the grades to attend this greatest of all schools, we all would attend football and basketball games when we could.

This was especially true for my oldest sister, Timson Dawn Marie. Nearly 2 years ago she found out she had skin cancer. After fighting bravely, she died on 2-10-09. my brother Andy had called both Simers and Plaschke at the L.A. Times to tell them of her love of all things Bruin.

Well to everybody's surprise, there was a call today to tell us they were saddened to hear of our loss. The caller? CBH:

For this man to call and reach out to us speaks of nothing but class and humanity. I know there is a Pac 10 Championship to win and he still took time to call and offer prayers.

A GREAT MAN.

Thank you for reading the post.
