Its time the warriors management stops preserving the roster for a future that is still hazy.  Its time for us to put our cards on the table and try to nab Chris Paul to play with Monta Ellis.  We need to find out that it takes us giving up talent to recieve talent. I believe that the only way to pry away Chris Paul is to replace him with another point guard, and give them a lineup that they can't resist. how about a trade scenario like this?

I'm seeing a scenario for a three way trade, something maybe along these guidlines. (note: these are only guidelines to possible trades, which means these haven't taken acount for the salaries. Also drafts picks could be added to any of these guidelines to sweeten up the deal. These are just the ways i think we can get New Orleans to part with their superstar)

Curry and azubuike to New Orleans

Biedrins to third team.

Paul to Golden state

From third team: Starting SG or SF to New Orleans.

Plus whatever makes the salaries work and maybe draft picks.

New Orleans roster:

Curry/Collison

Azubuike/Thorton/Posey

player from third team/Stojacovic/Posey

David West/(???) I'm not to familiar with who the second string powerforward is

Okafor/Armstrong

There is one other way i think this trade could go through.

Curry and Biedrins to New Orleans.

Chris Paul to the warriors.

Emeka Okafor to third team.

Azubuike to third team.

SG/SF from third team to New Orleans.

This is my trade that i came up with.

Players recieved:

New Orleans: Stephen Curry, Shane Battier, Andris Biedrins, Chuck Hayes and maybe a draft pick from GS

Golden State: CP3, Brian Cook

Houston Rockets: Emeka Okafor, Kelenna Azubuike

With this trade we get Chris paul and an expiring to come off the books at the end of the year. When all our contracts come off the book. we can lure another good player with the bait of possibly the best backcourt in the NBA.

For the New Orleans Hornets they get a new look roster with a young promising point guard in Steph Curry, Other Rookie Marcus Thorton (who they are very high on), defensive stopper in Shane Battier, All-star David West, and a new young promising center in Andris Biedrins. For their backups they have rookie guard darren collison, James Posey, Peja Stojacovic, and backup big men in Chuck Hayes and Hilton Armstrong. I think this roster could possibly give the hornets a reason to trade Chris Paul. Also if we threw in a 1st round draft pick they would have i believe two number one picks to add to the roster.

For the Rockets they get a Center in Emeka Okafor to take the place of injured Yao ming who is out for the season. If Yao comes back next season, Emeka Okafor can be the backup center. The rockets also recieve injured player Kelenna Azubuike, who, this season, was proving he was a legitimate starter. His contract ends in two years, a year after Tracy Mcgrady's contract, so if they decide not to resign him, they already have a back up starter for a lot less money.
