I'm Juan Crespo, a 2013 Purdue grad with a BS in Atmospheric Science and a minor in Political Science. During my last 2 years at Purdue, I wrote for Hammer and Rails, mainly covering volleyball and other stories for TMill. After I graduated, I "retired" from H&R, only to come back to work behind the scenes, fix the Facebook page, and contribute articles whenever the current writers were not available. You could consider me "Author Emeritus."

Currently a graduate student at the University of Michigan. But don't worry, my heart still bleeds the Old Gold and Black (I should probably have a doctor check that out or something).

Importance of Hail in my life:
1) Hail (the actual precipitation)
2) Hail to our Old Gold and Black
3) Hail to the Victors
4) Hail to the Chief

Purdue Volleyball swept by #12 Washington; Defeats Rice in 5 sets

Coming into this weekend, I was feeling rather positive. Purdue would play in a good neutral environment down in Texas that would not give any team an advantage. I thought Washington would give...

The Tiger Classic has been moved to Rice University due to Tropical Storm Issac.

Setting the Bar High: #9 Purdue Volleyball sweeps #21 Northern Iowa

Only 1 word could describe the first 2 sets in tonight's game: intense. The first 2 sets felt like separate individual games that I thought would never end, as Purdue won both of them 25-23....

"I once loved Notre Dame football...But I grew up." -Rick Reilly

I know we have our opinions about Rick Reilly, but we also have our opinions about Notre Dame Football. As someone who escaped the Shadow of the Golden Dome and a convert from Notre Dame-ism, I can't help but enjoy this article.
