Bucs Nation Let's Talk About Big Name Re-Treads

Okay I admit it I'm bored so I typed this up to start some friendly conversation, or some heated debate whichever, it doesn't really matter. Lots of talk about Andy Reid getting fired, before I go any further let me say, I hate Andy Reid, always have, always will, but I felt like his name should be included. Next up I would like to also add, I  am against any big name re-tread, be it Cowher,Fischer, or Reid. I already threw my pick out there, Mike Leach, don't know if he would even be available, but I do know that he loves pirates! I know, I know, it's probably too early to talk about replacing Raheem, but a guy can dream can't he? So everybody what have you got to say?

I know the economy is bad but how many games are the rest of you planning on atteding this year?

Bucs Nation Tricep Routine for Barrett Ruud

Barrett, hey buddy, I was watching you in the Saints game it looked like you were having a little trouble getting guys to the ground. Maybe it's because your arms look like toothpicks.Bigger triceps should help you pull down with more force than a ten year old girl so I wrote this routine for you: (1) tricep dips body weight 3x12 (2) next we have close grip bench press 5,4,3,2,1 pyramid set example: 190x5 195x4 200x3 205x2 210x1 follow this with a burn out set say about 145 take this to failure keep going until you can't lift the weight off your chest (make sure you have a spotter) (3) finish up with tricep cable pushdowns 4 sets taken to failure reduce the weight each set don't count the reps just feel the burn! If you follow this routine your arms will get bigger and you won't have to be embarrassed in the club or on the field any more. GO BUCS!

Male Pattern Fitness German volume training or 10 sets of 10

I just ried this workout for the first time before I tell you how it went let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 46 I'm 6' tall and weigh 230-235. I've worked out off on for years never ever sticking with it. You know when you're young you work out harcore for a month and then get distracted. Anyway I finally started taking it seriously in november, I've been working out 5 days a week and doing stuff like squats and deadlifts stuff I had never done before. So 5 months later I still weigh the same can't rid myself of this gut. I can see more muscle and i am stronger than I ever have been but that gut and my weight are still there, So i decided to try this 10 sets of 10, I have read you can add 10 pounds of muscle in 6 weeks. Well i don't really want to be heavier but I thought maybe I could eliminate this middle age spread around my waist. Let me tell you it was harder than I thought it would be, in fact i only managed 5 sets of deadlifts. I know this is long so i will wrap it up, should i continue on with the 10 sets of 10 or try something different?

Bucs Nation Two rumors about quarterbacks that could affect the Bucs

-These are two rumors that I thought might be worth discussing. The first one involves the Rams trying to obtain McNabb from the Eagles. If they were somehow able to pull it off then it is doubtful they would take a QB with the No.1 pick. I was also thinking, would the Eagles want the Rams No.1 pick and who would the Eagles take if they had to pick first?
The second rumor also involves the Eagles and one of their QBs, Michael Vick. He recently said he would like to play for the Panthers and I was wondering how everybody would feel playing against Vick twice a year again?

Bucs Nation End of an Era?

Well the playoffs are over for Bret Favre how many  of you  think he should retire? I was going for the Saints but a funny thing happened to me during the game I suddenly found myself wanting Favre to win! I have been a lifetime Favre hater but after he got so beat up i found myself feeling sorry for him I was actually torn by the end of the game i couldn't decide who I wanted to win. Is it just me or did he appear to age 10 years by the end of the game? I don't know about the rest of you but I feel he should retire after the punishment he took in that game I just don't think he can go another year. What do you guys think?

Field Gulls A Question From A Buccaneers Fan

Recently since the demotion of Jim Bates as Tampa's DC, it has come to light that he was not the first choice of new head coach Raheem Morris, Apparently his first choice was Dan Quinn. now I don't follow the Seahawks and I'm sure not many of you follow the Bucs, but what I was wondering what if any difference would this have made in our defensive struggles this year. Would this guy have been a better fit for our players? Your GM is a former Buccaneer employee and he wouldn't let Quinn go to the Buccaneers.

Bucs Nation Time For A What If? Moment

Yesterday I was watching the NFL Today and they did a fantasy segment on where they would send people if they could. When it was Boomer's turn he said he would send Bill Cowher to Cleveland so they could have a real coach. To which Cowher exclaimed "beam me back Scotty" it dosen't take a genius torealize he wants to coach again. So that brings us to this, what if he wanted to coach the Bucs?

Poll
If Cowher was available should the Bucs hire him?
A. Hell yes we need a proven winner

B. No Morris should be given more time

Bucs Nation Party Atmosphere Over?

A few weeks ago a heated discussion began after I suggested there was too much of a party atmosphere going on with the coach actually taking time off to play records. I also  pointed out that I had a hard time taking Raheem seriously when members of the team were saying "he's cool, he's one of us" and "he likes to thug it up". It looks like the players were also having a hard time taking him serious. Now it was announced this week no more music in practice. They were going to use the loss as motivation instead of loud music, This is the best things I've head all year looks like Raheem is taking things a little more serious. I hope he can make the transition from "friend" to coach without any difficulties. He has gained some respect in my eyes the party is over its time to get down to business!

Bucs Nation A Tale of Two Cities

Last year two cities,  two football teams with similar records, two Superbowl winning coaches, two similar paths. Both coaches were fired, two rookie coaches were hired to replace them. New coaches, new staffs, new personal, new directions. Before the season even began one city was ready two crucify their new coach for trading the franchise quarterback, while the other were falling all over themselves for their young coach and his "youth movement".Now here we are one is 0-5 and the other is 5-0.Why?What happened? How did it all go so wrong for one and so right for the other? Was one team really that much better than the other and therefore easier for the rookie coach to turn it around? Was one coach that much better, was it luck, or a little bit of both? All i can say is the sun is shinning in one city while the other endures what could could be a long sad sunset on a once proud franchise.

Bucs Nation Who would you rather have on the team: Cadillac Williams or Edgerrin James?

The cards are about to release James and I was just thinking three backs are better than two right? I mean it worked for the giants last year, and the bucs are going to some kind of run first offense this year right? And we do still have a lot of money left right? So why not cut or trade williams i mean lets face it he is just an injury waiting to happen, and pick up james?Maybe I'm just to old-school and put too much faith in signing vets like james?

Bucs Nation Anquan Boldin

With the draft fast approaching trade rumors for Boldin are popping up, and he has allready said he wants to play in Florida, is he worth a first and a third? i know everyone wants to use the draft for defense, but what an offense we would have with him! Plus everyone is allready conceding we are going to have a losing season anyway (except for me that is) So trade for boldin and fix the defense next year.

Bucs Nation McDaniels the new Gruden?

Is McDaniels the new Gruden? Recently while commenting on another blog I brought this up and I wanted to see what the rest of you Buc fans think. A carolina fan said that a Peppers for Cutler trade made no sense for denver and i disagreed, here's why I think that Mcdaniels has that same "I'm the real star here I can win with any quarterback that I choose". Although I dont see that trade happening I think McDaniels is the type of guy who would make it.

Bucs Nation GET RAY LEWIS NOW!

I just read Ray Lewis wants out of Baltimore anybody besides me think this is a good idea? With Derrick Brooks gone who else could step up and lead a bunch of young defensive players any better? His age may be a factor, and how much money would it cost may also come into effect. He is mad and he is out there so why not try to get him? I say go get him!
