Could our RT be hidden on our roster, whats up with ALEX BOONE?
I know he was on the practice squad all year, but I live in OHIO (buckeyez1) and watch alot of OSU and Alex was pretty good in college and his combine #s from last year were right up there with the top linemen in the draft. The only thing that dropped him down in the draft was his off the field problems(drinkin too much beer). One would hope that being on the practice squad for a year would hone his tech. I don't know if this is the answer ,but I thought it would be worth talking about.
Now that the o-line stood behind Alex does that mean he's goinig to be the starter?
Well the reason I say this is because Singletary has said along that he wants someone, the guys will play for. If he continues to look good in practice and stay health, I think he wins. He's younger ,has a stronger arm, no Nolan to make fun of him,and now Brandon Jones and a o-line that hung out with him during quiet time. (Is this a slap in the face for Hill on the Hill?) Not to mention every ones boss the Yorks and Mccoulgh are rooting for him....! Sounds like we already have a winner. Let me intorduce to you the new starting quarterback for the 49ers ALEX SMITH....!
Really, I just want the best man to win, but I would like to see Alex play like he did the season he ran in the touchdown against Seattle. GO NINERS!
Crabtree's Defense.........!!!
I've been a die hard Niners fan for about 18 or 19 years and I've been hanging on to ever second looking for Crabtree to get in to practice. To see if he can do what he did to Texas to Arizona. So, I'm pretty upset to think he might sit out a whole season and get redrafted. I'm also pretty upset that his cousin is out running his mouth. Still I'm super stuck on all the drama. Honestly I don't think I'm the only one.
Which is why I'm going to do something that no one else seems to want to do I'm going to try and defend him.First of all who didn't think, before he got the foot X-ray that he would have fallen to us. Second all who didn't think that he would be a better reciever than DHB (still to be determined), but I thought Jeremy Mccalin would have went before him. Third historicly if a recieve is a Biletnikoff winner in college then he has a good chance to be a good pro. I think all us just want to see him on the field and that is what we're all upset about . After saying all that if the Raiders can show DHB a big contract Why can't we do the same for our boy and show the league that the Debartlo side of Jed is coming out and trying his best to bring a championship back to those great intials S.F.
