Golden State Of Mind Let's not forget...

Open-heart surgery

Ronny Turiaf layup Ronny Turiaf layup

Ronny Turiaf was the 37th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft to the Los Angeles Lakers, signing a two-year, $1 million contract. After a physical exam conducted by the Lakers just four weeks after the draft, team doctor, John Moe, found an enlarged aortic root in Turiaf's heart. After multiple examinations by other physicians, the Lakers decided that the problem, which was cleared by doctors in both France and the NBA's pre-Draft camp, was serious enough to require surgery. The Lakers were forced to void Turiaf's contract but retained his rights in case he was cleared to play again after the surgery. In addition, the team paid for all the expenses from the surgery. Turiaf underwent the six-hour open-heart surgery on July 26, 2005. His expected recovery time was between six and twelve months.[5]

As part of his rehabilitation, Turiaf signed with the Continental Basketball Association's Yakama Sun Kings, a team that drafted him with their 36th pick in the 2005 CBA draft.[6] He played 9 games with the Sun Kings, averaging 13 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Turiaf recovered from his surgery quicker than expected and was therefore re-signed with the Lakers on January 17, 2006, less than six months after his surgery. In order to make room on the team's 15-man roster, the Lakers waived guard Laron Profit after his season-ending injury.[7]

Golden State Of Mind Jessica Alba pregnant

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jPax5T5kEkViCrNJ3gK9frDq3NzAD8TG7M4G0

How am I gonna break this to my wife?

Jessica Alba and her boyfriend, producer Cash Warren, are expecting a baby. "I can confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring/early summer," Alba's publicist, Brad Cafarelli, said Wednesday in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

The couple met on the set of "The Fantastic Four." Alba co-starred in the 2005 film and Warren was a director's assistant, according to People magazine, which first reported Alba's pregnancy on its Web site.

Alba, 26, stars in the new thriller "Awake," and recently appeared in "Good Luck Chuck" and "The Ten." The sex symbol first gained fame as an action star on TV's "Dark Angel," then in films including "Fantastic Four" and "Sin City."

Golden State Of Mind Unbelievable

I go to warriors.com to put up a J-Rich wallpaper for my work computer and they removed all of the J-Rich wallpaper.  They still have Cabarkaba and Jasikevicius.  I'm suprised they have photoshopped him out of the team photo.  Tragic.

Golden State Of Mind Perusing the web.....

......just upsetting.

I love the notes....

Notes: "The second coming of Larry Bird" as one hoops junkie friend put it. Has that uncanny court sense of a coaches son. Amazing fundamentals and approach to the game. Crafty at getting his shot off. Excellent stroke. Very good athleticism. A wolf in sheep's clothing.

Good thing we didn't pick up Stoudemire.

Golden State Of Mind Free Byron Houston?

Arrested for indecent exposure.

http://newsok.com/article/3066344

Former Oklahoma State basketball player Byron Houston was arrested for indecent exposure Wednesday after a woman called police and said she saw a man masturbating near Northwest Expressway and Independence Road in Oklahoma City, police said Thursday.

Police stopped a car at 5:45 p.m. that matched the woman's description and found Houston in the driver's seat with his shoes off and underwear on the floorboard, Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.

The woman later identified Houston, 37, as the man she saw and said she's seen him doing the same thing on three previous occasions, Knight said.

Houston's prior offenses
Wednesday wasn't the first time Byron Houston had been arrested for indecent exposure. A quick look at his prior offenses:
*Sept. 30, 2001: Arrested after several women reported seeing Houston masturbating on his apartment balcony.

*May 28, 2002: Arrested after he was seen masturbating through a window.

*Aug. 30, 2002: Arrested after a woman reported seeing Houston masturbating in his vehicle.

*March 4, 2003: After pleading guilty to four counts of indecent exposure, he received a suspended sentence and was ordered to undergo treatment.

Maybe jail would be good for him.

Golden State Of Mind Ramblings

-What is up with Croshere? Is Hell frozen?

-I couldn't tell but was that John Amaechi that was making out with Devin Harris at the end of regulation, 3rd row, below the Dallas basket?

-Does Stern realize that Jax is an international player and should get the same love and protection he gives all of the other international players when it comes to questionable reffing? (ala Duncan claping on the bench).  He sure knows how to take the emotion out a playoff series.

Dubs in 6.  Start "Most Improving" already Monta.

Whattya say Biedrins "hardhat night?"
