Yeah, health is definitely an issue for him. But if it were as severe as he says I don't see how he'd have been up for coaching last season at all

I'm gonna get bashed for this , but I think Phil will coach again if the Knicks are able to somehow construct a roster of multiple true all stars.

Lebron reminds you of Melo, Jackson reminds you of Scott, New York reminds you of Cleveland. SMH

With Herb's long arms he'll also be able to provide water and towels at an unbelievable pace.

Herb's the new ball boy and he'll be darned good at it!
Commented on Steve Kerr speaks, and other post-Woodson notes on Apr 21 2014, 8:34p - 1 reply
Also it's probably worth noting that Herb was actually fired. It wasn't like "I'm gonna fire Herb" with a "No you can't" reply.

I will never understand all of MDA's Toney Douglas love.

Yeah, I'm skeptical of that core alone doing anything (even attaining a playoff berth)

Which is probably why an unproven triangle disciple like Kerr would be an unlikely choice for OKC should they seek a coaching replacement.
Commented on Steve Kerr speaks, and other post-Woodson notes on Apr 21 2014, 7:49p
If Ty Lawson and Afflalo were part of the Knicks at some point, I'd agree.
Commented on Steve Kerr speaks, and other post-Woodson notes on Apr 21 2014, 7:44p - 1 reply
I think the difference here compared to earlier failed triangle practitioners is that Jackson will be present, at least to some extent, to help with the teaching.

I would think that much of the luster (or all of the luster) of the Knicks coaching job is the prospect of a collaboration with Phil Jackson.

I don't think it's a big jump to think that if the Knicks still looked like they'd been since 2002 in the 2010-2011 season that

I'll be honest. I really enjoyed the 10-11 season and 11-12 seasons too even with them ending in a 1st round exit.

The year was 2010, the Knicks hadn't made the playoffs since 2001.

Amare did kinda open the door to 3 playoff beths, 3 winning seasons, a division title, a 2 seed, some playoff winning and 1 pretty good season overall.

Coaching the Knicks this year (at least to a sub 500 record that would have qualified for the playoffs) should not have been that freakin' hard.
