Texas-Baylor 2nd Half Thread Photo Recommendations

Janet Leigh has been an integral part of the Longhorns' success recently, but what if UT's just killing Griffin-less Baylor next Saturday? Let's have a few options on the table in case Janet gets next Saturday off for some reason, like maybe a 52-3 halftime lead. Some of my suggestions are below.

Earl Thomas was the lone sophomore, but one of three Big 12 players, named to the Thorpe Award semifinalists list. The list, per Disney:

Texas moves past Alabama to 2nd in the BCS standings. FOX is supposed to have the standings themselves up already, but I guess they wanted to post the story before the standings.

So you want a new OC?

First of all, I'll say that I don't think Greg Davis is nearly as large a part of the problem as most seem to think he is, but even so, it's worth asking this: whom would you have the Longhorns hire at OC to replace Davis, were he to leave? A fired offensive-minded head coach like Kragthorpe? A high-performance offense's OC like Dana Holgorson at UH? Promote Major Applewhite?

Really, what are the options at this point? UT can afford whatever it takes, but I'm having a hard time finding a guy who would be a fit for Mack Brown's conservative wishes, yet also has proven to be able to put together consistently-great offenses. So what's the pick?

Vince plays in blowout loss

So I noticed that Tennessee was losing 45-0 at the half to New England. Tom Brady had just set the Pats' franchise record for touchdown passes, yards, and models knocked up in a quarter and a half, it appeared. And Kerry Collins was a paltry 1 of 10 for 15yds. So of course Fisher trots out Collins to start the second half, and he completes one of his next two passes, a -22yd. pass to Nate Washington. Yes, negative 22yds. As in, the guy played well over a half of football, and ended up 2 of 12 for -7yds. and an interception.

Great time for Vince, right? Wrong. First pass he comes in to throw, Crumpler doesn't make his turn on time, and Vince throws it off his back foot anyway, so it's an interception. The other attempt went for an incomplete pass. So despite the fact that Collins had just had possibly the worst first half of any starting QB in modern NFL history, I think Vince actually managed to find a way to have a lower QB rating today. On the bright side, even having zero completions, he still had more passing yards than Collins.

Anyway, Vince was in a tough spot, and didn't perform well, but I'll be amazed if Fisher somehow musters the audacity to play Collins another snap this season. It should be Vince time again, finally.
