that's a shame, 'cause there ball team played a hell of a game. Yet, with one second remainging on the clock, the student body(?) rushes the field.

Then when its actually over, Mack cant get to leach for the well-deserved handshake and the Tech fans push Colt 'cause I mean you just gotta fuck with the other teams quarterback right? Eff Why, Tech

This just hit my NewsFire:

Texas coach Mack Brown opened his weekly news conference after Saturday’s loss at Texas Tech by calling for a clampdown on postgame security. Thousands of Texas Tech fans stormed the field at Jones AT&T Stadium after the game — actually, some of them jumped the gun and ran onto the field with one second still on the clock.

“It’s really, really dangerous,” Brown said. “It’s amazing, with all the talk about security, that we’ll turn everybody loose.”

Brown said that Colt McCoy was pushed by Tech fans. Brown said he wasn’t able to congratulate Tech coach Mike Leach and, for the first time at Texas, was unable to join the players near the Longhorn Band for the postgame singing of “The Eyes of Texas.”

Brown went out of his way to twice say that he didn’t blame those fans or the Tech officials who failed to control the situation. Rather, he called for Big 12 and NCAA rules to keep fans off the field after games.

“I’m afraid that in my lifetime there’ll be a tragedy, and then we’ll change the rules,” Brown said.

He complimented his own staff and players for their behavior on the field and in media interviews after the game. “All reports are they handled themselves well,” Brown said. “I really appreciate the class the team and coaches showed.”

Mother's Day is a lovely day for golf...on TV. I could not get out on the course myself on Sunday as I was cooking brunch for my lovely wife. Instead, I tuned into television coverage of The Players Championship. About ten minutes before Paul Goydos teed off, they aired an interview betwixt the defeated once-leader and our favorite 'little fella' of sports broadcasting: Bob Costas. I could immediately sense a great deal of over-confidence from Goydos. His interview demeanor belied his beleif that he had this thing wrapped up.

Anyway, his matter-of-fact smart-ass remarks about the course and his game-plan planted a seed of doom, as we witnessed him 1.) Blow his lead and very-possible win in regulation by choking on a donkey dong on 18. So we go to playoff hole one (17th, very short) and he 2.) Double-Bogies.

Paul Goydos, a real jackass, sealed his own fate by being a primmadonna with Costas before his round.

Oh yeah, nice collar-less, lime-green jersey. Real classy.

Have a nice week.

Okay, so a friend of mine manages Dirty Martins. For those unfamiliar, its an old-school burger joint on campus. Well, Mack Brown came in today and was shooting the breeze with my buddy, Jesse.

Jesse is a Tech alumni, so he asked Mack if he knew Mike Leach, and if so, was he 'weird.'

"He's... different...very eccentric."

Apparently he also followed the Grateful Dead for a few years and took a liking to LSD. Maybe he had a wicked flash-back in Fort Worth, because I still can't figure out how in the hell you only put up three points.

Anyway, a little random, yet diary post-worthy.

One of the things I like about Matt Drudge (Drudge Report.com) is that he finds the best photos to match his 'headlines'.

The hypertext below takes us to a bicture of outgoing British PM Tony Blair, who won a '97 landlide election as the leader of the Labour Party.

Please note his jacked up grill. One of his bottom choppers is all but decayed, and of the top choppers is at a 45 degree angle to his gum line.

I'm not one to judge, but, you would think that in ten years of serving the Crown and running a rich-ass country, one would be able , uh, fix that $#!%.

Texas Fight!

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c89/domecq/capt.jpg
