nice post, I agree.
Commented on Portland Trail Blazers: Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson on Jul 24 2014, 2:59a
He did average 11 rebs/36 min in 40 games last season.

Anderson is definitely on my list of least-favorite Blazers.
Commented on Blazer's Edge Roundtable: Least Favorite Blazer of All-Time on Jul 24 2014, 2:43a
Agreed, nothing good can be said about his time in PDX.
Commented on Blazer's Edge Roundtable: Least Favorite Blazer of All-Time on Jul 24 2014, 2:42a
I thought this post was sarcastic, but the subsequent posts make it clear that it was not.
Commented on Blazer's Edge Roundtable: Least Favorite Blazer of All-Time on Jul 24 2014, 2:41a
I recall that Cliff was actually a really good defender, especially later in his career.
Commented on Blazer's Edge Roundtable: Least Favorite Blazer of All-Time on Jul 22 2014, 9:14p
I have my doubts about Barton and McCollum. If Wright returns to his previous form, I could see he and Blake taking all the backup 2/3 minutes, which would have Batum or Wright manning the 2 for a few minutes per game.
Commented on Can CJ McCollum, Thomas Robinson or Will Barton Break Into The Blazers' Playing Rotation This Fall? on Jul 22 2014, 3:05p - 1 reply
Wait, what? You mean Sprewell, right? At Golden State.

The girlfriend was pregnant at the time. He also assaulted another guy over some issue with his home alarm system.

Felton. Winning combination of horrific on-court performance, apparently poor work-ethic, and God-awful attitude.

Whoops, 21 for Blake.

yet another projection:

Yeah, this list doesn't really make sense.
Commented on The Five Players I Wish The Portland Trail Blazers Signed This Summer on Jul 20 2014, 8:04p
I think it is too soon to say that CJ was the right lottery pick for Portland.
Commented on Guard rotation 2015-2016 on Jul 20 2014, 3:19p
I tend to agree with you, and Freeland may beat him out. I just think Robinson's aggressiveness and athleticism will end up getting him those backup 4 minutes (~12-15 mpg)
Commented on Five Things We Learned About The Blazers From Las Vegas Summer League on Jul 20 2014, 2:30p
I think there may even be just one consistent rotation player on this summer league squad -- Robinson.
Commented on Five Things We Learned About The Blazers From Las Vegas Summer League on Jul 19 2014, 8:11p
I'm not sure I would agree that Lillard is the better player at this point. Bledsoe is a lot better defensively and has a higher PER

I found this one even more odd:

I don't think Evan Turner is worth twice as much as Aminu.
Commented on Ongoing Free Agency Thread (Updated 6:00pm 7/19) HOU trying to get Bledsoe? on Jul 15 2014, 3:31a - 1 reply
Second coming of Randy Foye would be great. That guy has been a part-time starter his whole career.
Commented on Las Vegas Summer League Media Row Report: Knicks 71, Blazers 69 on Jul 13 2014, 5:22p - 1 reply
Yep, great points. Barton and Freeland appear to be on track to meet or exceed expectations, given their draft positions.
Commented on Las Vegas Summer League Media Row Report: Knicks 71, Blazers 69 on Jul 13 2014, 3:26p
McCollum was measured at 6-2 1/4 without shoes, and an inch taller with shoes at the draft combine.
Commented on Portland Trail Blazers Sign Steve Blake with Bi-Annual Exception on Jul 11 2014, 12:58a
He was a pretty good defender in his prime, in my opinion, but surely those skills have faded over the years
Commented on Blazers Sign G Steve Blake to 2-Year Deal on Jul 10 2014, 1:33p
I like it too. I've always appreciated Blake.
Commented on Blazers Sign G Steve Blake to 2-Year Deal on Jul 10 2014, 1:32p
It is a pretty decent mix , at least on paper. The player strengths seems to complement each other, and mesh pretty well.
Commented on Blazers Sign G Steve Blake to 2-Year Deal on Jul 10 2014, 1:25p - 1 reply
I'm not either......but I watched him play and he pretty much sucked it up except for ~5 games or so
Commented on Pelton: Projection Suggests Blazers G CJ McCollum Is A "Potential Bust" on Jul 9 2014, 3:04a
draftexpress says they are basically the same height: 6-2 1/4 for mccollum, 6-1 3/4 for Lillard.
Commented on Pelton: Projection Suggests Blazers G CJ McCollum Is A "Potential Bust" on Jul 9 2014, 2:59a - 1 reply
he needs a younger, more-in-shape guy to spar with.
Commented on Pelton: Projection Suggests Blazers G CJ McCollum Is A "Potential Bust" on Jul 9 2014, 2:55a
Maybe he was out of shape due in part to the injury, but he does not look as athletic as Williams and many other undersized "combo" guards
Commented on Pelton: Projection Suggests Blazers G CJ McCollum Is A "Potential Bust" on Jul 9 2014, 2:49a
I liked the pick as well, but I expected him to show up with more point guard skill and less tunnel vision.
Commented on Pelton: Projection Suggests Blazers G CJ McCollum Is A "Potential Bust" on Jul 8 2014, 9:10p - 1 reply
I'm not comfortable naming Barton the backup PG...I think the team needs to sign someone to fill that role for 10-12 mpg. If Barton proves to be a better option at that spot, then great.
Commented on Can Will Barton Play Point Guard? on Jul 8 2014, 5:22p - 1 reply
That might be true...but who ?
Commented on Blazer's Edge Roundtable: How Does Chris Kaman Addition Impact Blazers' Frontcourt Rotation? on Jul 8 2014, 1:52a - 1 reply
Man, I have been agreeing with you throughout this thread...you need to quit while you are ahead.
Commented on Looking Ahead To Blazers G Damian Lillard's Next Contract on Jul 7 2014, 7:31p
I don't think the signing makes Freeland redundant, as Golliver states. As he acknowledges, Kaman has missed a lot of games.....
Commented on Blazer's Edge Roundtable: How Does Chris Kaman Addition Impact Blazers' Frontcourt Rotation? on Jul 7 2014, 6:35p - 1 reply
Fair enough, might be too soon to say that. FG% is just one piece of it, though.
Commented on Looking Ahead To Blazers G Damian Lillard's Next Contract on Jul 7 2014, 3:30p - 1 reply
Ivan Johnson apparently worked out for the Blazers
Commented on Portland Trail Blazers: Discussing the Chris Kaman Signing on Jul 7 2014, 1:03p - 1 reply
That is a good idea, if it works under the CBA.

the key to that shot was that he didn't really wait for the screens

Kersey's toughness and his play in the postseason during those great runs give him the edge for me.

Yeah, Clyde could simply dominate games for long stretches with his amazing physical ability.
Commented on Looking Ahead To Blazers G Damian Lillard's Next Contract on Jul 6 2014, 5:29p - 1 reply
The advantage I see with Barton at the backup 3 over, say, Wright, is that he provides ball-handling and shot-creation off the dribble from that position...

To be fair, though, they do have some important traits in common
Commented on Looking Ahead To Blazers G Damian Lillard's Next Contract on Jul 6 2014, 4:25p - 1 reply
Yeah, Lillard is already a better scorer, but he is not yet a better PG overall (accounting for defense, ball distribution, etc.)
