I wear warm up pants to work. Although I get a lot of crap for it, people's jealousy is so transparent. I'm comfortable, and it takes me about 3 minutes to get ready in the morning. That's hard to beat.

Addicted To Quack Where to watch The Civil War in Eugene

I can't go to the game, but my wife (also a Duck alum) and I are driving down to Eugene to watch the Civil War.  I figure there's got to be some good stuff happening, but not sure if I'm able to handle something too crazy.  I'm 27, but 21 year olds seem like middle schoolers to me now.  What's a good spot to watch the game and make the most of this experience?

Apparently some people took the Marc Spears story as the final word on the situation. I'm calling the whole thing a non-issue by December.

Addicted To Quack Why Chip is the HC and we're posting on fan sites

I posted this in the forums over at DSA, but then I realized ATQ needs my invaluable insight too.....You're welcome...

I love Costa, but watching him play for a good chunk of the game yesterday, I noticed one key thing that illuminates why Chip absolutely made the right decision in sticking with Masoli early in the season even when many of us wanted to see him on the bench...or at fullback (was that even serious?...)

Masoli is far, far better at executing the zone read than Costa is, and it's the key to the Duck's offense.

In the first few games Masoli's passing looked like he was playing a high stakes game of hot potato, his mastery of the zone read is what allowed us to grind out the Purdue and Utah wins (as well as UCLA and Stanford last year).  I know it's frustrating when the passing game isn't working, and I suspect Costa would probably be a better passing QB.  However, we got to see him run the offense for more than half a game, and I immediately noticed something very interesting.  On any play involving a handoff (even a fake one), Costa telegraphs his intention and doesn't follow through with the fake.  The defense is able to react much quicker, and the Duck's offense is far less effective.

I have to give props to Chip for standing by his scheme and the qb who he knew would give us the best chance to win.  I do hope the coaches work with Costa on this aspect of his game because it will be essential to his success if the time comes for him to run this offense.

Outlaw's stuff of Von Wafer's fast break is Yahoo's Block of the Night.

That 4th quarter steal and slam was still my favorite Trout play of the game.

I liked Ball Don't Lie already, but this is a great breakdown. I think we've all seen how special Roy has become.
